Chapter 2: Bris
I sighed sadly as I slid my hand down my window. Why couldn't she be closer? At least in the same country...
The message she'd sent me made me long to be with her, more than I had before, if it were possible. God, I wished we could be together.
I glanced at the sketch I'd made of us together, hand in hand, watching the sunset together. I was proud of it, and had even hung it up near my bed. Though, it was just a reminder of one of the many things I couldn't do.
I decided to text Bubs. It might actually help a little, make me stop thinking about the fact that we couldn't be together.
At least, not physically.
'I miss you. Too bad you can't be here. But I mean, even if you could you'd have to bring your camera and such.'
I giggled quietly at my joke. This was an ongoing joke between us. Innocent, yes, but not, all at once.
I laughed a little harder when I saw the reply.
'Oh yes, but it'd be worth it ;)'
My eyes were beginning to droop, and I couldn't hold back a long yawn. I zoned out completely for a few seconds before I jolted awake. I heard a loud 'ding' coming from the speaker on my phone, and it turned out to be a message from none other than Bubbles.
'Forgot about me?'
'No, I fell asleep. I think it's time I get to bed.'
'Awe, night Brissy!'
'Don't call me that.'
'Okay... Brissy...'
With that, I turned off my phone, placing it on my nightstand. I giggled quietly, before falling asleep.
