recap;

Then she told him about the honeymoon packages she had in her office, but she have not pick any yet. She could not make her mind.

In all this while, Seungjun only half-listened, making sure to focus only on her voice to calm him down. He was ready to hunt the guy who took her from him; his mind processing the plans he should do.
Oh, it would be an interesting wedding, indeed.

It was a heavy space – countless of people entering and walking out of the huge sliding glass doors. Rose was really good with memorizing, but all the new faces every time were pushing her closer to the verge of breaking down. She was terrified – it felt like forever but she knew there were still some daylight left in the day. Fear accumulating in her stomach making her clench her fists together. She was afraid of the number of human she could possibly encounter in a day, and she was already questioning her decision.

Rose looked around in the lobby warily, and each time her eyes would stop at the desk where Seungjun left her. Perhaps the ladies behind the desk would know where he went? She was debating on asking them, but she did not want them to question her what was wrong. She had caused too much attention on herself, and it was not what she needed right now.

She brought her legs up and hugged it, burying her head into her laps. Her heart hurt – she did not expect anything like this when she decided to run away, but then she never knew enough about the human world to envision her plan in advance.

She only wanted some time for herself, to finally feel what freedom was like, but she could not help but to think that she have made a huge mistake. How could she find him in this world?

Her head wandered to her family, her mother and father. How would they act when they finally learn that she was gone? Her father would certainly be pissed, but her mother – she was worried of her mother the most. Her father was protective of her mother because she was emotionally weak, and any notion that upsets her will affect her physical being. Rose was drawing a red card and worst yet, she did not even leave a simple note to explain her disappearance.

The tears started to flow as thoughts of her family filled her mind. She calmed down when bits of the memories floured, clouding the last of her fearful heart. The thoughts of when her family warmth could be felt within her.

And the reminiscences brought tranquillity to her heart.

Youjin stared vacantly at the passing buildings as he drummed on his jeans covered knees. The changes were broader than what he heard – and what he had remembered from his past. The old large buildings were still there, ones that he and his parents used to go. Obviously they were revamped; a few changes were made on the overall look to match the modern look, but they were squeezed by bigger and taller buildings in a way that he could not even imagine.

He let out a small huff, it felt like Los Angeles there too. Commodified, demanding, hectic, obscure. Alone.

He glanced to the rearview mirror and saw that his driver, who also served as his personal assistant were looking at him, while balancing the wheels. Which was not a hard thing, seeing that they were stopping for more than ten seconds at every red lights.

"...Your mother enquired that you mustn't meet anyone after every working hour, and go straight back to your apartment. She also said that..."

"Have you reminded her that I am an adult and I have consent over my own self?" Youjin reprimanded brusquely, effectively cutting his assistant's words and left him dumbstruck. He shook his head and leaned back onto the leather seat, crossing his arms over his chest and closed his eyes: a sign that he did not want to venture into the conversation any longer.

A few minutes passed and the small device attached on the car dashboard piped up, breaking quietness in the car, informing them that they have now entered the right street and the building should be just in a few rows ahead.

Youjin opened his eyes and stared at the looming building, already regretting his impending fate. "Calm down," he chastised himself. "Everything will be just fine. It'll all pass, just like it always does."

He walked lazily behind his robust of an assistant who was too much of a spirit after the long flights. Yes, he was not impressed by the stopovers he had to take just to get himself to his hometown from LA, and he swore the jetlag was just creeping at the back of his head waiting to jump out and say 'boo!'. Yet the assistant of his, who practically shared the same flights as him were just as energetic as ever, and it irritated him to no end.

How could someone stay lively after more than 10 hours of flight? He clearly could not understand.

He tucked his hands into his jeans pocket as he trailed after the man who had already arrived at the front desk and no doubt asking about place he had reserved weeks prior. Youjin rolled his eyes, stopping just a few feet behind the man, not wanting to hear his peppy, business-like voice.

His eyes scanned the surrounding idly, looking at every features but not letting himself to dwell too long. Then he saw the fiery red hair.

Youjin had learnt to not dwell on something for far too long. His eyes were quick and sharp, remembering just enough details to help him with everything. He did not settle, he did not care. "It's all but momentarily," his mother used to say when he was old enough to understand toy cars were not as good as real ones, "but our legacy lives on."

He had taken his mother's words and moulded it into his own. Nothing was important as the businesses that he had made and have yet to accomplish, still the colour caught his attention. Red, like the sparks of razing fire.

He watched as the girl suddenly sat up straighter, her wild eyes ran a scan across the room, wandering past him. He blinked when he saw the pair of dark orbs for a fleeting moment, and for a second more, he wanted her to look at him longer.

He did not notice the curiosity that began to fill his guts when her shoulders dropped and she sighed. All he knew was her face, the stars would have to work harder to outshine her.

He contemplated of talking to her but she might be with someone else and soon enough he realised that he did what he never did and should not do. He stopped to think about her, taking in her red waist long hair and large blue sweater. He pondered long enough to let her fill his mind.

He scoffed at himself, why should he care about the colour of her clothes and the length of her hair?

His ear caught a rather loud conversation and his eyes instantly shifted back to the person who have unintentionally swam into his guarded thoughts and made herself at home. Two guys were stood in front of the girl; one was wearing a working suit and the other wore white uniform with a headpiece stuck in one ear. He presumed that it was the security. His eyebrows met.

"I'm sorry miss but I'll have to ask you to leave," the guy wearing the grey suit said, "We have a strict policy for visitors..."

"B-but I'm waiting for someone,"

"Have you contacted them?" He cut her off, pointing at the front desk. "They said you refused the phone."

"Phone?" Her eyes widened in bewilderment, and that was what it needed for him to spring in action.
He did what he never thought he would. He went to her aid.

"She's with me." A deep voice said, and Rose whisked her head around so fast that she felt dizzy.

The guy in suit tilted his head to the side, cocking a brow. "And you are...?"

"A new tenant," Youjin said, nodding at another guy who seemed to have noticed their exchange. He was now walking fast toward them, leaving his stand at the receptionist station, worry was sketched clearly on his face.

"Do we have a problem?" He said once he reached them.

"You have the card?" Youjin asked, and his assistant showed him two shiny gold cards. He snatched it from his assistant's grasp, and turned to the men in front of him.

"She's my cousin, I asked her to wait for me while he get the cards." Youjin said motioning to the red haired girl, feeling the shocked stare on both sides of his face, more intense on his right where his young assistant were. "So are we good now?"

The guy in the suit frowned at him and glared at the girl who lowered her head. He then nodded after a moment and walked away, towing the security guy behind him.

Rose felt delighted as she counted the men's steps. She was rigid all the time as they were speaking; he was trying to rid of her, and if only he managed to, she will be outside in the human world alone. But seemed that the gods did not turn away from her.

She gathered her strength and slowly looked to her side, just to see that the guy who saved her was already staring at her. She blushed at his scrutiny, looking deep into his brown eyes. "Thank you."

He smiled then, that small gesture made her feel at ease. She replied him with a shy smile of her own. But his next word baffled her, "let's go."

"You can't just bring a –" He looked at the girl who wandered inside the house, "stray person into your home, this is unacceptable!" He harshly whispered to the guy who seemed to have enraptured by the beauty he randomly met fifteen minutes ago.

Youjin spared him a brief glare and resumed watching the red head who looked amazed by the sensor light that turned on by itself. "She has a name, and Woon, stop acting like my mother."

He was annoyed by the assistant, who was also close enough to know his mother's true colours that she herself tried so hard to bury underneath her elegant up-do and sleek button-up blouses. Woon, the assistant have not stopped talking since they made their way up to Youjin's new apartment, even making the blunt move to whisper harshly to Youjin about his 'bad decision' with the girl in hearing range.

"I'm not but your mother will be so pissed if she know you're taking a stranger into your home on your first day in Seoul! Also, did she tell you her name?"

Youjin scoffed at his assistant's words. Right, that's one of the rules he mentioned in the car. "No but I'll ask her later. Speaking of which, don't you have to retrieve your own keys for your apartment?"

Woon groaned softly, remembering the next task he have to clear. Before he could forget, he jutted his hand out, palm up. Youjin looked at him questioningly. "The card, one of it is mine."

Youjin shook his head, "Ask for another one at the counter."

"What do you mean?"

Youjin shrugged and turned to Rose who now sat on his couch, her head still looking around. "These ones already have its possessors."
