Now nearly 40 days are left with Ariel . Today Casey and Kate are visiting Ariel . Ariel is happy and eager to meet her friends after a long time . Kate and Casey were hesitant to see Ariel in death bed but somehow they gathered some courage to visit Ariel .

For the  last 2 days Ariel had laughed whole heartedly with Aiden . Aiden is a funny 18 yr old who loves to crack joke and make jovial aura around him . Aiden has cracked hundreds of joke till now  to make Ariel laugh . Ariel meets Casey and Kate , they spend a few hours with each other ,talking their hearts out .

Casey and Kate finally went to their respective homes  with a heavy heart  not knowing whether  they will  see Ariel again or not ? Ariel this time bid goodbye to her  friends with a smile on her face as Ariel  thought that her friends should always remember her  with Ariel's signature  dimpled smile   even if it  is  her last days .

Casey's P.O.V starts....

Today I met Ariel . My heart ached seeing Ariel's pale face , shaved hair . She looked weak and lifeless but her eyes still had twinkle in them and her dimpled smile made my day . Ariel is the living example of spirit of life , she has taught me to live life to the fullest even if life ditches you in the midway .

Casey's P.O.V ends....

Kate's P.O.V starts...

Finally I and Casey gathered some courage to see Ariel in the hospital . Ariel is now thin , pale and fragile . Seeing Ariel in that condition broke my heart immensely . I was on the verge of crying when I first saw Ariel but then Ariel's spirit and liveliness filled my heart with warmth and made me strong emotionally. Ariel is teaching us how to live while she is the process of  dying  which in incredible feat  . I have learned importance of life from Ariel.

Kate's P.O.V ends....

As Ariel's friends  leave for home Aiden notices that Ariel is a bit lost . He understands that Ariel is feeling emptiness after saying good bye to her friends . Aiden sits beside Ariel and he speaks out ," Hey Ariel what is  the one thing that  you  regret about  your life?". Ariel thought deeply for a few minutes then she spoke out , " I regret not living my life to the fullest , I mean I was just living my life just for the sake of living  it without any zeal about it until the tumor tremor came in my life and then I  realised how important it is to cherish life  because indeed  the length of life is uncertain. If your life is cut short all of a sudden  then you will  feel regret for not embracing life  fully ".

Aiden nodded in agreement and  then Aiden said , " Ariel your idea of making a wish list and fulfilling it will at least remove your regret because now you are living your life to the fullest even in the last days of your life and this is what matters the most". Ariel smiled briefly in response .

Aiden then asked softly," What's your next wish Ariel ?" . Ariel replied beamingly," To see the colours of life !". Aiden got confused and he asked ," Colour of life , what do you mean ? Where can be  the  colours of life  seen ? Life is an abstract word right, then how  can we find and  see colours of life ?". Ariel replied ," You can definitely see colours of life . You can see colour of life in a rainbow because a rainbow is made due to refraction of  water and light . Water and light are the  elements of life .Therefore , rainbow is a source of life and colours of rainbow can be interpreted as  colours of life ".

Aiden looked at Ariel amusingly then he said," Ariel you are a deep thinker , I never thought about rainbow in this way . Ariel you  have a splendid look towards life . Life of colours are hidden in the rainbow magically ".

At twilight  someone woke up  Ariel swiftly . Ariel wakes up and see Aiden looking at her intently . Ariel rubs her eyes and she  looks out  of the window and she  sees the dark sky . Ariel says,"Hey it is night!Why are you  disturbing my sleep Aiden , you want me to sing a lullaby for you to make you sleep like a baby ?". Aiden laughed hearing Ariel's sarcastic reply and he said ," Look my company is making you much more hilarious and has improved  your comic timing ".

Ariel smirked in response . Aiden then pointed outside the window and he  said," Look it is raining and the sun is about to rise". Ariel looked out of the window. Rain drops were gently pitter patting against the window glass . Ariel with the help of Aiden opened the window. Ariel then felt the raindrops on her palm .

At this very instant , the sun rose from the east making the gentle raindrops shine . As the raindrop glistened with sunrays , a beautiful rainbow enchanted the sky. Ariel gasped seeing the magnificent rainbow with the  ravishing red , incredible indigo , yearning yellow ,gorgeous green , breathtaking blue and outstanding orange .

Ariel exclaimed ," God this  is beautiful , colours of life , the colours of rainbow are marvelous! Aiden you fulfilled my fifth wish, Thank you so much Aiden !".

Aiden replied ,"Anything for you Ariel, you are my buddy , you my partner ....my partner in cancer , my last comrade , I will do anything to make you happy". Ariel hugged Aiden tightly ,meanwhile the sun rose higher making the sky glow  with golden hues  . Two teens  are  communicating the gratitude of friendship through a  warm embrace ,an embrace which has emotions of gain and loss along with happiness shared together and a hug which shares pain .

The golden hue of the sky  fell on both Ariel and Aiden , both looked at the sunrise . 39 days left , Ariel whispered which Aiden heard  . He as a response  side hugged Ariel and  said ," Every human should live his each day of life  as his last day by  embracing life's small beautiful moments , seeing beautiful sunrises and  sunsets, glowing  stars , magnificent rainbow because living life to the fullest is the ultimate chant  for   spending  life happily  and to make  peace with  approaching death".
