A Day To Go Out
It has been a few days since I've gone to Busch Gardens, and even though that day ended off quite well for me... I have been spending too much time these past few days worrying about how my friends view me right now and how long they'll keep ignoring and being mad at me. Because it doesn't look too good, judging from how I was basically being given the cold shoulder from my friends at Busch Gardens, excluding Bad, since he actually treated me well the whole time.
Right now, I'm just lying down in bed, staring up at the ceiling and thinking about all my friends, worrying about how long the effect of Quackity and I's situation will last for on them. I'm so deep in my thoughts that I don't even realize Melody knocked on my bedroom door and asked if she could enter. I only realize her presence once slowly opens the door, making a creaking sound. I jolt up, startled, to see her in the doorway. I relax and say, "Oh- Melody! You startled me. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
Melody does a little hum and says, "I can tell. After all, I knocked a few times and called out for you, but you never responded."
"Oh, oops... Anyways- what brings you here?"
"I was going to ask if you're doing anything, but it seems like you're not doing anything at all."
"Yeah, I was just thinking..."
"...Do you mean worrying about the whole situation you've been put it thanks to Quackity?"
I just give her an awkward nod. She sighs and takes a moment to think. After a thoughtful moment, she smiles and says in a cheerful tone, "Well, no more of that! You should take a break from worrying about all of that. So today, I'm taking you out downtown for a nice outing. Go and get ready!"
"Wait, wha-"
Before I say anything else, Melody heads out of the room, closing the door behind her to presumably get ready herself to go out. After a moment, I sigh and get up from bed. I guess I have nothing better to do after all. Plus, it would be nice to spend some time with my sister. I guess I better get ready.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I just changed into some casual outing clothes to wear, and the same did Melody. When I finished getting ready, Melody was already waiting for me in the living room. Surprisingly, unlike most girls, Melody doesn't put too much effort into her outfit and looks. She's never really been into fashion or makeup, so she kinda just wears what she wants and does what she feels like doing. I guess this behavior is a bit influenced by her confidence in herself and her 'natural looks'. She enthusiastically took me to her car so that she could drive us downtown.
Once we were downtown, we took a little stroll to check out the shops and scenery. Afterward, we agreed to eat at a restaurant before going anywhere else in case we ended up buying something. We had a good time during lunch just chatting and eating delicious food. Once we finished eating, we ended up going in and out of shops to check out what they had. Now, I was kinda surprised by this since Melody has never really been fond of shopping, but I guess today she is determined to help me have a good time and forget my worries for a bit.
Eventually, we ended up in a clothing store and decided to have some fun by trying on different clothes. I guess it could be considered a little fashion show. We just basically had fun goofing around and trying on random clothes. Once we were done, I didn't end up buying anything, but Melody ended up buying a shirt she really liked. She doesn't really go out shopping for clothes or accessories much since well- she doesn't really like it, so she decided to buy the shirt since it isn't really common for her to really end up liking a piece of clothing after one good look, meaning that it might be a while until she finds another piece of clothing that she really likes in the future.
So Melody bought the shirt, and she mentioned that she saw a Starbucks nearby and that we could go there to buy a drink. I agreed, and so we just got out of the clothing store and are on our way to Starbucks. After walking a block, Melody says, "I have the Starbucks app, so if you want, I can order drinks for us on the app so that our order will be ready by the time we're there."
"Sure, that sounds nice."
Melody looks into her purse to grab her phone, but she quickly says, "Oh no... wait- I think I left my phone in the dressing room back at the store. Wait here- I'm gonna go get it!"
"Wait- wha-"
Before I can say anything else, Melody takes off running. I don't think she heard me because she just exclaims, "Wait for me! The store isn't too far away!"
Once she gets a good distance away from me, I let myself look away and just take a moment to admire my surroundings. I then felt a gentle breeze pick up, making me let out a sigh as I found myself relaxing, and so I closed my eyes to enjoy this moment of solitude. But the moment is soon interrupted once I hear a familiar voice behind me say, "Skeppy?"
I jolt and turn around to see Quackity, and he doesn't look very happy. I don't get a moment to speak as Quackity starts yapping and taking out his frustration onto me, "Have you not learned your lesson, Skeppy? After last time? I thought I made it perfectly clear for you to stay away from my boyfriend! To not be alone with him! And yet- noOooOo... What do you do? You keep f*cking hanging out and talking with him, meaning that he spends less time with me! His boyfriend!"
My nerves spike up as I realize that a fee people around us are looking, paying attention. I stiffen a bit at that. I say in a hushed tone, "Quackity- please, lets not talk about this right now-"
"No! It's irritating that you can't understand to take the hint! Just give up, Skeppy. Bad doesn't like you, he likes me, he's in love with me. Not you."
"Yeah- I know that- and I've told you that I can't just avoid him, it isn't fair for any of us. He's my best friend, and I'd hate to hurt him. Plus, I've tried to tell you before that I'm not planning to make you guys break up or anything. Like I just said, I'd hate to hurt Bad, I just want to see him happy-"
"Lies! You're planning something! I know you are!"
"Q-quackity- please! Be reasonable and just listen to me-!"
"No- shut up, just shut up!!"
Before I know it, Quackity pushes me, and I fall onto the road, my palms hitting the asphalt concrete. I groan and sit up to catch Quackity looking at me furiously. It all happens so fast because the next second, I see Quackity's face into a mix of worry and shock, mostly shock, once he looks to my far right. After a glance, he looks right back to me. Then, it's my turn to look to my right, only to see the flashing headlights of a car. Then it all goes black.
