Sonic just continued trotting through the darkness, he had started to feel like that he wasn't going anywhere. "Hello?..." he called out, his voice only echoed through the darkness as he just came to a stop. He only lets out a small whimper as he just looks down at the empty floor.

"You..."

Sonic's ears perked up when heard a voice, it was fuzzy, and wasn't quiet clear...the hybrid only stood up. "Is someone there!" He asked as he started to making his way again towards the voices, only for them to start becoming muffled. "N-No...Come back..." he cried out, he only looked up and around for anything to be the source of the voice, he didn't know how long he's been in the void but every so often he would feel warmth, and hear muffled voices that he couldn't understand or interact with.

His ear twitches as he heard the soft beep of something, with no other choice he started to make his way towards the sound, it was the only thing that he could hear clearly, everything else was muffled, or staticky. The closer he got to the beeping the more of the darkness he saw, it was just empty space, with him being the only source of color. He didn't understand. He's been in isolation since he was only two, forced through so much torture that he just didn't understand that he was dying...but his body just refused to give up...it was just his chaos energy, that kept him alive, it was faint yes...but hopeful.

"Can anyone...hear me?" He called out again, only to get nothing in responses, besides the usual muffling of something.

"I just want to go home..." he muttered, he felt tears starting form in the corner of his eyes...he had escaped from that Hell Scape, but not for better, he was alone, at least in that building he had other hybrids, even if they were behind cages.

"Can't..."

The hybrid lifted up head when he heard something else underneath the muffling, it was still staticky but it was slowly becoming clear...he just still couldn't make it out. He sniffs as the beeping sound had gotten farther, he only took it as a sign to follow.

His body started to feel warmer the closer he got to the beeping...but his body started to feel numb, and stiff...everything hurt, he only looked around it was still pitch black. The muffle voices started to finally get louder, but they were still unclear. "Hello?" He called out again, but still no answer. His dull emerald eyes shifted to floor...he wasn't getting anywhere with this, he couldn't even understand what that main voice was telling him.

As he was about to give up, two small lights, a deep crimson red and grayish blue light shined in front of his face. The energy that was coming off of them was strong...but always faint. He reach paw out to try and touch it, only for the light to vanish and reappear. At least he had something in this empty void.

Shadow was just lick at the wounds that weren't covered in bandages, his long snake like tongue just brushing against the hybrids fur.

"His body isn't cold anymore..." Eclipse said to Shadow, as he repositions himself closer to the mammal.

"Then he's coming back...I knew he wasn't dead..." Shadow said with small whimper...for the first time in his life he finally got to meet his soulmate, but his soulmate just never knew of his existence, or even was aware that he had two. He can only hope that the hybrid felt safe around them...even if they met in that brief of a time in that organization.

With the three of them being the last of their own species, a Soulmate is the only thing that both Shadow and Eclipse wanted, cause it gives them the opportunity stay together, and protect one another.
