III - Punishments and Prophecies

At CHB

~Percy~

It's been three weeks since Annabeth left. She took everything she had with her but she also took my heart. I miss my wise girl. For three weeks I've done nothing but mope around, I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't do anything.

One thing did cheer me up when I was at my low. A couple of days after Annabeth left, Aphrodite came down to camp and demanding to see her daughter. The girl, what was her name again? Oh yeah! It was Lily. Anyway, this is how it went down.

~3rd person~

The goddess walked calmly to her beaming daughter. Her face was a mask of calm but inside, the goddess was furious. Her daughter had broken up the greatest love of all time and even though Aphrodite pretended not to care, every time a broken love came into the world it broke a piece of her.

"My daughter."

Her voice was like ice. It was so cold that every camper surrounding Aphrodite flinched. Lily's smile melted off her face, replaced with a look of worry.

Aphrodite takes a deep breath and then screams. The sound is so horrendous that it scares the monsters in the woods. All the monsters either run away or dig into the earth, never to be seen again.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT!!! HOW DARE YOU BREAK UP PERCABETH!!!!"

Lily's face goes from shock to terror to anger.

"Did you seriously come down to camp to yell at me? TO YELL AT ME ABOUT PERCABETH?!?! WHAT EVEN IS PERCABETH??"

Aphrodite looks taken back.

"PERCY AND ANNABETH!!!!"

Aphrodite calmed herself down before speaking again.

"You broke up the greatest love in existence, their love was destined to outlast the Gods themselves."

Lily glares at her mother and crosses her arms across her chest.

"Well sorry mother, but Percy and I are perfectly happy."

In the distance, a male voice can be heard

"No we're not!"

Lily rolls her eyes. Aphrodite just glares at her daughter.

"Anyway, mother, Percy and I are happy together and I'm glad that Annab**** is gone."

Aphrodite glares at her daughter and opens her mouth to curse her when a brilliant flash of white light interrupts Aphrodite. A disembodied voice speaks from the light.

"Excuse me daughter of Aphrodite-"

"She's not my daughter anymore Athena!"

The light dies down and reveals a glaring Athena. Athena sighs.

"Excuse me former daughter of Aphrodite, what did you call my daughter?"

Lily hastily kneels down in front of Athena.

"I apologise my lady."

Athena studies the girl with her intelligent grey eyes. Her eyes narrow at the sight of the girl who has just insulted her favourite daughter.

"You may be spared if Percy wishes it."

Athena snaps her fingers and an angry Percy appeared in front of the two goddesses. He kneels down in front of them.

"Lady Athena, Lady Aphrodite. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"This girl has insulted my daughter and I have decided to give you the choice of choosing what shall happen to her. Anyone object?"

Lily raises her hand but quickly puts it down as she receives glares from, well, everyone. Athena nods in satisfaction. Percy closes his eyes and thinks, but his only thoughts are about Annabeth. How it felt to have her snuggled in his arms, the electricity between them whenever they kissed. Everything they've gone through to be together, only to be ruined by one stupid girl. A single tear escapes his eye. He opens his eyes, a fire blazing in them.

"I have decided. Lilian Lunar, as Aphrodite has said you are no longer her daughter. Furthermore, you are to be stripped of any powers you have inherited from Aphrodite. You are to stay at least 10 feet away from me and my cabin at all times, excluding council meetings. During council meetings, however, you must stay in your seat and you are not allowed to come near me in anyway."

Athena and Aphrodite nod in agreement.

"We swear on the River Styx that your terms will be met unless you decide to change them in anyway."

Lily looks horrified. She tries to run towards Percy, but an invisible force pushes her back. She runs and runs and runs to Percy, but she covers no ground. As she's running, she's screaming and pleading with Percy, tears running down her face. He just looks on with a cold look in his eyes.

"Now you know what I was put through when Annabeth left. And I'm like this because of you. Enjoy you life, Lily Lunar."

Present Time

~Percy~

Now I'm sitting on my bunk, reliving my time with Annabeth. Unfortunately, Lily is Piper's second in command. Drew left to stay in high school, something about a hot guy being too close to a trashy rebel? And Piper is currently in new Rome with Jason. Someone knocks on my door, shaking me out of my daydream.

"Come in."

I was surprised at how hoarse my voice was. The door opens and reveals a glaring Clarisse.

"You've got to come out of your cabin prissy. We've got a war meeting on."

I look up at Clarisse.

"War meeting?"

She rolled her eyes.

"No, we're going frolicking in a meadow instead. Just hurry up prissy."

She closes the door and I get out of my pjs and get dressed in my camp shirt and jeans. I head towards the big house and look around at the campers. Since Annabeth left, everyone became depressed because everyone knew her. She's been here for ten years and then she just suddenly leaves, it's taken a toll on everyone. Even the stolls have been pranking less and less.

I walk into the big house and see everyone already discussing something. Rachel's in the corner, sitting on her stool. Her posture is slumped and her eyes are closed. She's been getting really sick for some reason. Will Solace is tending to her so I just take my seat. I see Lily sitting in the Aphrodite seat, she smiles at me and I just glare back. Chiron stamps his hoof to get everyone's attention. He opens his mouth to talk when the lights start flickering. Then the room plunges into darkness.

A soft hissing is heard and an intense emerald mist fills the room. Rachel's voice can be heard amidst the mist.

9 shall go to the ancient home
While wisdoms daughter shall walk alone
A lost love reunited
The spark of war re-ignited
The horcrux and giant slayers
Shall be halted by the betrayers
The final choice
Will be made by wisdoms voice

The lights come back on and reveals a body laying on the floor. Rachel's. I rush down to check on her. I press my fingers against her wrist and I find a weak pulse.

"Will, take Rachel to the infirmary. Percy, you can come back now."

When I returned to my seat, I was shaking like a leaf. First I lost Annabeth, I can't lose anyone else. Chiron opens his mouth to speak when he's interrupted yet again, this time by a bright flash.

"Oh come on! Can't I get a word in at all?"

The light fades and reveals a deathly pale woman with long, dark hair set in a high Ancient Greek ponytail. Curled around her ankles are a polecat and a black Labrador.

"Lady Hecate, to what do we owe the pleasure?"

I kneel down in front of Hecate and everyone else follows my lead. Her eyes regard each of us individually.

"Rise."

Her voice was cold but calm.

"I have come to select the demigods of the prophecy."

Everyone gets up and eyes the goddess warily.

"I am well aware of the prophecy and I have a warning for you all. Kronos is rising again."

She said it like he was coming to drop off Christmas presents.

"I have selected my champions. Perseus Jackson,"

"Just Percy, lady Hecate."

Hecate studies me with amusement.

"Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, you shall be one of the questers."

Hecate kept doing that formal thing over and over but I got the gist of it. If someone was at camp Jupiter, Hecate would just summon them to the meeting. The demigods going are:

Me

Jason

Piper

Leo

Frank

Hazel

And Nico

So basically the seven and neeks.

"And lastly, Lily Lunar, daughter of Aphrodite."

Wait

"WHAT!?"

I realise that I'm not the only one who had shouted out. Pretty much everyone was gawking at either Hecate or Lily. A smug look could be seen on Lily's face. Gods I want to punch her. Hold on a second....

"Lady Hecate?"

It was Malcom who spoke up.

"The prophecy stated that nine would go on this quest, yet you have only chosen eight."

"Son of Athena, that is a very valid question. To answer your question, I have another champion, she will meet the other demigods at the transportation spot in 1999. Now that is all, I must take my leave."

And with that, Hecate flashed out leaving about two dozen demigods dumbfounded.
