Uzi froze, she could run away and risk being chased and eaten, or explain the whole wireless connection thing. Even then she still might get eaten!

The latter sounded better, just a little.

Uzi took a deep breath, before explaining.

"The pair connection thing is like a bond between two people, kinda like a soul connection-"

"But we don't have souls."

"I know that! So, the connection is like a soul bonding thing between two drones, so-"

"Oh! It's like soulmates! Am I right?"

Uzi froze, she hated how he was able to guess.

"Yes..."

N smiled, then that smile faded.

"So, how does it work?"

"I don't know..."

N couldn't believe what just happened. He was now potentially "soul-bonded" with a worker drone he just met, and tried to kill! And worst of all, he like V! V!!! Not this.... whoever she was! Though, she did sound cute... NO! BAD N! BAD!

"Right, your name is?"

The girl froze, then said "Uzi. My name is Uzi."

N held out his hand, "Nice to meet you..."

Uzi looked at his hand, then shook it.
