You had just woken up from your slumber, hoping that today was just another normal day. As you finished up your daily routine, you drank some tea and looked at the calendar, and spat it out in surprise.

Today is the birthday of the girl that you secretly admire.

You began to freak out because you didn't know what to do. To clear your mind and come up with something, you stepped outside, only to see one of your friends.

Musa: "Y/N, I want to talk--"

"Don't have time right now."

Musa: "This is about Tecna."

You let her in and she sat on the couch.

"What is it?"

Musa: "Today is Tecna's birthday."

"I already knew that."

Musa: "Well, you need to stall her to give the girls and I enough time to get ready for her surprise party."

"Is that all?"

Musa: "I was wondering if you could take her out and show her around the real world."

"Wha-- Musa, I only do that because I need to gather information about the humans and--",

Musa: "We'll give you and Tecna some time alone to communicate with each other. Deal?"

You had intended to confess to Tecna some other day, but you figured this would be a perfect opportunity for you to tell you how you feel.

"One more comment before I go off on this plan."

Musa: "Yeah?"

"Why couldn't you have gotten Ti--"

Musa: "Are you being serious right now?"

"Well, I mean..."

Musa: "It's because Timmy is a pussy, and he wouldn't last a full two minutes without getting into trouble."

"Deal," you said, reluctantly giving her your hand.

After changing your clothes, you waited for Tecna outside her dorm. As you looked at your phone and saw something in the human world that would be intriguing to her, she stepped out of her dorm and saw you.

Tecna: "Are you having a fever?"

"No, I'm fine!"

She held your hand while you were shivering.

Tecna: "Shall we, then?"

You were unable to speak until you managed to gain a little courage.

"We shall."

As you and Tecna went back to your dorm, her friends came out of their hiding spot and began decorating.

Bloom: "Musa, are you sure he was a good choice?"

Musa: "As I said previously, Timmy is a pussy."

After you returned to your dorm, you began to search for something all over your dorm while Tecna was sitting on the couch while looking at the photos you had on the table.

After finding what you were looking for, you exited to the living room and ran into Tecna.

Tecna: "Wait a minute... I thought that book was extinct!"

"Well, my brother gave this to me before the dark fairies attacked my family. I ran off while I had the chance."

Tecna: "What happened to your family?"

You didn't pay attention to her question because you were going through the pages of the book to find the correct spell. Once you found it, you casted a spell, causing a portal to appear, and Tecna shielded her eyes before slowly opening them to see it was an actual portal to the living world.

You were about to step through the portal, but Tecna was too shy to go through.

"Trust me, it'll be fine."

It took a few minutes before she trusted you and held his hand as you went through the portal. Upon arriving in the alley, Tecna was shocked to see what the human world looks like.

Looking at your phone, you saw the present you had in mind for her was still being prepared, so you decided show her something. You  placed a blindfold around her eyes and \guided her to the place that she dreamed of going to.

After you took the blindfold off of her eyes, she was surprised to see that you and her were standing in front of a technology convention.

She hugged you, while you could only move slowly so as to not be noticed. Upon arriving, Tecna was surprised to see all the latest inventions around you.

You thought she looked adorable, but you didn't tell her that. Soon, you noticed one of the inventor's inventions was out of order.

While Tecna was worried about what happened, you looked around to see if anyone noticed. Because no one else noticed, you went behind the stand and opened the broken part of the invention, while Tecna was on the lookout keeping watch.

She was surprised to see that you knew how to fix machines, which was when she started to get suspicious.

It only took a few minutes before you were finished with repairs. It slowly powered on before Tecna noticed someone was coming.

Tecna: "Y/N!"

You hid in a corner as the original inventor noticed that it was fully powered on. She wasn't aware of what happened until she saw a note on the little stand.

"Please be sure to carefully read the manual," it read.

Confused, she looked around but saw that nobody else was around. She took her invention to present it to the audience, and they were all in utter surprise, to the point where she won first place. You and Tecna cheered for her too, but you noticed it was getting late, so you returned to the alley and opened the portal.

After returning, you and Tecna stood there for a moment before she kissed you.

Tecna: "Thank you Y/N, I'd never thought I experience living world technology. Wanna go over to my dorm?"

"S-s-sure..."

As she opened her dorm room door, all of her friends surprised her with a party.

After the party was over, you were about to leave the room when Tecna grabbed you by your arm.

Tecna: "Could we talk in private?"

You agreed in an instant. After entering her room, she closed the door behind you, but you didn't notice because you were admiring the designs of her room.

You figured you had enough Tecna for tonight, so you were all set to leave, but she tackled you onto her bed.

Tecna: "I still want one more present for my birthday."

"What is it?"

Tecna: "Are you secretly a technologist?"

You were shocked in an instant.

"You see, no, but--"

Tecna: "When I saw you fixing the invention earlier, I knew you looked exactly like one.

She got closer to you.

Tecna: "So let me ask you again, and please be honest with me: Are you secretly a technician?"

You didn't have a choice, so you told her the truth.

"Seven years ago, I lost my family because f some weird mumbo-jumbo that I can't explain properly due to time passing, but before his passing, my dad explained that he used to be a technician, and all the other men in my family tree was also technicians. So, I've had to keep this a secret because I have a feeling someone's gonna know the truth sooner or later."

She finally understood why you've been acting strange around her. But she wasn't done yet.

Tecna: "I have one more question to ask."

"What would that be?"

Tecna: "For you to be my lover."

She gave you a flurry of kisses, causing you to blush deeper and deeper.

Tecna: "Thank you, my little genius."

You did not respond.

Tecna: "Oh, and by the way, if you don't mind, you'll be spending the night with me tonight."

You continued to blush, knowing you couldn't back out now.
