[3rd Person POV]
Time smiled as he took the fruitcake out of the oven, happy with his first attempt's success.
It was difficult to learn the recipe, because fruitcake isn't that common and it's frankly quite hard to prepare, but it looked great despite it being his first try at baking one. He was very proud of himself.
Time set the baking tray down on the counter so the fruitcake could cool, and went back over to the pot he had simmering on the stove. He had offered to make the fruitcake and one of the dips for a treats tray people were setting up. He was making the caramel dip, and the smell of it overtook the house.
Sabre came downstairs in a winter coat, struggling to put his other glove on for a few minutes. He noticed Time in the kitchen and realized where all the sweet scents were coming from.
"Hey Time!" Sabre greets him, and Time turns slightly. "Whatcha doing?"
"Oh, just getting some things ready for the party tomorrow." Time answers, smiling. "Both of the things I volunteered to make need to cool overnight, so I'm making them a day in advance. Do you think people will like the fruitcake?"
Sabre looks at the cake on the counter as he walks over to the other side of the room, getting the hat he forgot off the coatrack.
"It looks great, I'm sure people will like it." Sabre says.
"Thank you! It was my first try." Time replies, looking excited.
"Wow, first try? That's awesome!" Sabre says as he puts his hat on. "Nice job, dude."
"Where are you going?" Time asks.
"I'm going to help some of the other people in the village set up decorations for the party." Sabre answers. "I can't cook, but I still wanted to help out, so I volunteered for today."
"Alright, have fun!" Time says as he turns back to the stove.
"Thanks Time, seeya later." Sabre says as he opens the front door and walks into the snow-covered village.
With that, Time was once again entirely focused on what he was making. The fruitcake cooled behind him, all of the different colors of it looking a little like a mosaic piece in the light. Time hoped that other people would think about it the same as Sabre did.
