AU: Settling Sky

Context: It's the first snow with the Sky People around. This is well after Sabre has become their Leader, and everyone is just hanging out in the Ethereans' Kingdom.

Bit of a shorter one, but I promise they're gonna get longer lol, I just didn't have too much if an idea for this one =v='

[3rd Person POV]

The snow covered everything, all of the Kingdom's surroundings turned into a blank landscape of frozen flakes. However, the Ethereans weren't too bothered; in fact, they were having the time of their lives.

Sabre watches as everyone, even the adults, excitedly mess around in the snow while bundled up in coats, scarves, and hats. There's almost as many newly-built snowmen as there are people, some tiny while others were clearly made by the more giant beings of the Kingdom. Snowballs fly through the air, sometimes hitting a passerby instead of their intended target, but instead of getting angry they join in on the fun.

The Yellow, Orange, Red, and Green Leaders are visiting, wanting to know how their new neighbors are handling this world's winter.

"We've been through a heck of a lot of winters before, so we're having absolutely no problems with supplies or anything." Sabre says. "The only problem we've really been having is stray snowball fights-"

"HEADS UP! MISFIRE!" A random citizen shouts, interrupting.

Sabre ducks, and the Yellow Leader and M quickly move to the side as a snowball barrels towards the group. It smacks into the wall behind them, leaving a splatter of slush.

"...Like that." Sabre chuckles as he stands back up.

"SORRY! MY BAD!" Another citizen yells.

"It's alright!" The Yellow Leader shouts back.

"That was actually pretty impressive, considering how far away they are." The Green Leader says.

"We're a lot stronger than we look. You should know that by now." Sabre says as he looks back towards the kingdom's streets.

There's two children holding up snowballs big enough to be starts of snowmen, about to throw them at each other. Surprisingly, they actually manage to toss them, but hit each other. After a minute of digging themselves out, they laugh and run off.

"...Case in point." The Orange Leader says, having seen the same thing.

Suddenly, Sabre whips around and catches a snowball that was flying towards the back of his head. The other Leaders turn to see Ryan with his gloves covered in snow, looking shocked.

"Really? Thought you could catch me off-guard?" Sabre laughs.

Before Ryan can respond, Sabre throws the snowball right back, and it hits him square in the face. Ryan stumbles back and falls into a snow bank.

"Drat. Every year..." Ryan mumbles as he wipes the snow from his face.

Sabre laughs, but stops when a mass of snow hits the back of his head. Turning around again, he sees the four other Leaders snickering quietly. The snow-slush that was on the wall had been scooped up, and presumably was turned into the snowball Sabre was hit with.

"Okay, who threw that?" Sabre smiles.

"What?" M asks.

"No idea what you're talking about." The Orange Leader says.

"I didn't do anything." The Yellow Leader adds.

"Me either." The Green Leader replies.

Silence between them for a minute, as the multiple winter activities continue near them. In a flash, Sabre throws a snowball he was hiding in his sleeve at the Yellow Leader, hitting him in the face as well.

"I saw the snow stuck to your sleeves." Sabre says with a grin.

The other Leaders laugh, and the sounds of another snowball fight soon fill the air, joining the others. The four Steve Leaders are all throwing snowballs at Sabre.

"Hey, no fair! This is a four-on-one!" Sabre says, laughing, as he dodged another snowball.

"Snowball fights don't have rules!" M says, but is quickly hit with a snowball not even a second later.

Meanwhile, the Blue, Indigo, and Violet Leaders watch from a little way's away. They had come to see what the others were up to, and were surprised to see a snowball fight.

"Never thought Yellow would join in on something like this." The Blue Leader says.

"Honestly, sometimes I feel like we're the only adults here..." The Indigo Leader says, then looks to his right. "Right, Violet- Violet?"

The Violet Leader, previously having been standing next to Indigo, had run off to join Sabre's side in the snowball fight. Quickly picking up a mound of snow, he throws it at the Green Leader, then is promptly pelted with snowballs from the other three. Ryan and Lucas slide in and also join Sabre, it now being a four-on-four.

"Oh, come on." Indigo sighs.

"Welp, might as well." The Blue Leader says, starting to walk towards the group.

"Wh- Blue! Really?!" The Indigo Leader says.

"Yep." The Blue Leader smiles, then runs off and joins the Leaders that started the snowball fight.

Indigo stares for a minute, before shrugging and running over to the scene himself and joining Sabre's side, picking up some snow as he dodges the snowballs flying towards him.
