Years of abandonment pardoned, the magic of an unspoken wish granted,
the fae mother gave her human daughter Ella a night enchanted,
made her the fairest maiden in all land and
decked her in finery that would leave the prince besotted!
Indeed it was, a spell of seduction,
the prince was into her with eyes for no one,
they danced and Ella gleamed with the glow of first love,
but the midnight chime wrought an unforeseen destruction.
At the end of all, where she lay clogged in the ashes,
a pawn would know the consequence of naively placed trust and easily given forgiveness!
