CHAPTER 5

I ran to Tony while he pressed the elevator button."I'm sorry Tony, I tried my best so that you could see that I was powerful. I went too far," I said looking down. I felt really bad for Tony, but I just wanted to prove that I am actually powerful and not just some kid. Tony didn't even look at me. I could see that he was mad by the way he took off his glasses when we went into the meeting room.

"Jarvis, cancel my plans for tonight," he suddenly moaned out of nowhere.

"Yes, Mister Stark," a robotic voice said all over the room. I looked at him clearly confused but I guess it was a robot with extra functions?

I sat down in one of the chairs, Tony took his time to sit down and when he did he said, "What did you do?"

"What?" I asked.

"Your powers, what they did.''

"Oh, yeah, sorry about that," I said, trying to apologise.

"You manipulated my memories,'' Tony said.

"Yes, I'm literally the Goddess of Manipulation, that's my power, using people's memories, traumas, and low points to attack," I said, getting annoyed now.

"You're coming with us tomorrow," Tony said smiling.

"What? Where?"

"To one of Hydra's bases, we have to attack it, they took some of the shield's secret information and they need it back," Tony said. "So are you in?" Tony asked.

"I guess?" I answered.

"Cool, well see you at dinner kid," Tony said while leaving the meeting room.

"Ok..." I said even more confused now. I left the room when I decided to go up to Thor's room. As I was walking to Thor's room I heard that Thor was talking with someone, since I was his sister I obviously was going to go in without knocking.

"What the f--" I said before Thor cut me off, "--Kaia!" Jane was there,I thought Thor didn't like her anymore.

"Jane?!" I asked, confused looking at Jane.

"Um Kaia! You've grown. I remember changing your diapers when you were younger." Jane said trying to be funny, this girl was the reason Thor was leaving all his room all this time to see if she was ok. This was so awkward, she did not even know me when I was that young

"Oooh Loki is gonna get mad, real mad, Thor," I teased with a smirk on my face.

"Kaia don't you dare," Thor said angrily.

"Oh I will, dear brother," I said, running away from his room.

"KAIA!" Thor yelled, chasing me down the hall. I accidently pushed Clint out of the way so that Thor would stop, "I hate all of you three," Clint said annoyed.

"Thank you, I thought I was your favourite," Thor said sarcastically which made him stop from coming to me.

I found Bucky in front of me and I started talking to him. "So how was the meeting with Stark?" He asked, looking at me.

"It was ok, I mean it was good" I said out of breath from running away from Thor.

"You just ran?" Bucky asked me.

"Yeah- I needed to tell Thor something but then he started to chase me," I said laughing.

Bucky also laughed and I turned around to see Thor throwing his hammer at me. "Shit!" I said pushing Bucky down on the floor with me.

"Bucky lets go!" I said grabbing his hand and now it was Bucky and I that were running away from Thor. As we were running more and more through the hallway, I found Loki and screamed, "LOKI, THOR IS WITH JANE"

"What?!" Loki said stopping Thor from running to me. After Loki stopped him, I let go of Bucky's hand, but he took my hand again to walk back to Loki and Thor. (Omg). I looked at him and he gave me a smile. Loki and Thor didn't even realise since they were fighting.

"Thor you could of killed us with your hammer," I said.

"Well good, one less in the family," Thor said angrily.

"Thor you are not ok," Loki said.

"You're the one to talk," I said.

"Are we all just against each other," Thor asked. We were all now in a circle fighting, and Bucky was just resisting his laugh.

"Are you guys always like this?" Bucky asked, laughing his ass off. Thor and Loki looked at him with a weird face.

"Who are you again?" Thor said, pointing his hammer at Bucky.

"The winter soldier," Bucky said with a smirk.

"Huh ok" Thor said. "Either way, what on earth Thor?!" Loki said, screaming. Bucky looked at me as a sign to leave, I nodded and we ran away to the elevator, he then let go of my hand cause it was getting too hot.

We went with Wanda, Natasha, Steve and Sam. "Well look who decided to come," Steve said, giving a hug to Bucky. I didn't get to meet Steve in the field or in the tower at all.

"Hi, I'm Kaia," I said, shaking his hand.

"Steve," he said while giving me a smile.

"We were thinking of going to starbucks, you guys wanna come?" Wanda asked Bucky and I.

"What's that?" I asked.

"It'll be a surprise then," Bucky said to me.

We all headed out in the black van that there was in the garage and I could feel Bucky staring at me the whole time. Was I catching feelings? Maybe but ughhh!

When we were still in the car I got out my phone that Pepper gave me, I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Suddenly I got a text from Natasha.

Natasha: He likes you.

You: Who?

Natasha: Girl don't tell me you don't know

You: I really don't know

Natasha: Bucky

You: I don't think so

Natasha: He couldn't stop talking about you after Tony took you with him

I turned off my phone and gave a confused look to Natasha, she just smiled. Was she actually telling the truth? I decided not to think about it because I didn't come here to have relationships, I came here to help.

Once we arrived at this Starbucks place they ordered something for me because I had no idea what to pick. I got my drink and we all went in the car to drink it since it's dangerous that people see us in public. I started to drink my drink and it tasted so sweet and good. "You like it?" Bucky asked.

"Yes, It's really good," I said, smiling at him. Bucky had his messy brown hair around his face and I wasn't going to put it correctly, because I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

We arrived home around 8 pm, when it was time to have dinner. "I'm gonna go take a shower" I said going the other direction, the others said they would meet me in the kitchen. As I was going to my room Loki came to talk to me.

"Hello Sister," Loki said.

"Hello brother, how are you?" I said, giving him a smile.

"I'm ok, they told us that Thor and I are going on a mission tomorrow,'' Loki said with excitement, which was weird because I thought he didn't like missions. He must have been talking about the mission that I was also supposed to go on.

"Oh, I'm also going tomorrow," I said looking at him.

"What? No you're not" Loki said, looking at me confused.

"I am, Tony said they need me," I said looking at him annoyed.

"You can't, you're too young," Loki said, walking away angrily the other direction.

"Yes I can, and I already said that I'm going!" I screamed at him angrily as I walked to my room. I could hear chaos going on in the kitchen even if it was 4 floors down, it was probably Loki arguing with Thor because I'm going on this mission.

I took a quick shower and put on some comfy pants and a big sweater I had in my wardrobe. I headed out to the elevator, and went down to the kitchen. When I went down to the kitchen there was Tony, Loki and Thor arguing. "Honestly you guys are an embarrassment," Tony said rolling his eyes.

"You're the one that is letting a kid go on a mission," Loki said angrily.

"She's a goddess," Tony replied, annoyed at him. "She's coming, period. No more arguments or I'll make sure you both go back to Asgard."

Thor and Loki quickly shut up and headed up to me. "If you die tomorrow, it's your fault, ''Loki said angrily.

"I believe in your sister! We'll fight together again, like when we were kids," Thor said excitedly. I just awkwardly laughed and went to the kitchen table where Bucky was at.

"Got overprotective brothers I see," said Bucky laughing.

"Yeah, they always act that way," I said laughing. Bucky and I talked for a long time until the food arrived. We were talking about our past and things we wanted to do in the future. Thor told me about someone getting brainwashed by Hydra but I never thought it was Bucky.

"Yeah, they messed me up several times, and made me fight against the people I loved," Bucky said looking at the windows.

"Well don't worry I'll fight for you tomorrow," I said laughing.

"Thanks," Bucky said, smiling at me.

I didnt realise I was staring at him until Sam came and said "I think someone needs CPR". I quickly looked away and they all started laughing. My cheeks started to get red and the color didn't go away for a long time. When we started eating I was next to Bucky and my cheeks were still red. "You look cute when you're blushing," he said laughing.

"I'm not blushing," I said, trying to be serious.

"Sure," he said.

When we finished dinner, we all went to watch a movie and talk, soon enough everyone started to leave until there was only Bucky, Natasha, Wanda, and I left. We were watching Fast and Furious and it was pretty interesting. I began to feel sleepy and without even noticing I laid my head on Bucky's chest. I felt his body tense up but then he was calm. I heard Wanda and Natasha leave. I was still asleep when Bucky hugged me tight and we both fell asleep there.

*Previous conversation before dinner*

"So tell me about yourself," I said to Bucky.

"Well, I was in the war with Steve and that's pretty much all I remember, I remember how he was so tiny and then became huge all of a sudden," he said laughing.

"After that, I got captured by Hydra and I did things I would never do, but I was being controlled. I was then rescued by Steve and Natasha. It took me a while to feel comfortable with them, especially with Tony, but now they are like my family. And well then today I met you," Bucky said laughing. After that I explained to Bucky what Asgard was like and what I did on a daily day there. We laughed a lot actually, even if I just met him it was as if I knew him for years, I guess he had the same feeling since he held my hand before.
