CHAPTER 42

"I am Doctor Strange, Kaia Odinson," he said looking at me. I heard about him multiple times in meetings, if anything went wrong they would call him, that's what they always said. Yet, they never called him for when we needed him.

"And what do you want?" I said, raising one of my eyebrows. He looked at me with a death stare and I smiled back. "Kaia-" Pepper said, looking at me while angling her head. "What?" I said looking at her with a smile. "Doctor Strange is here to talk to you," Pepper said.

"Oh," I said laughing. "Now he wants to talk to me?" I continued laughing. "You could have before Bucky got kidnaped," I said angrily, facing him. I went in between them and headed up to the meeting room where the girls were.

I stomped into the room and closed the door aggressively. They all looked back surprised and shocked. "Uh- you ok?" Darcy asked me. "Of course, how could I not," I said with a fake smile. I sat down at Pepper seat, and moved the computer around, to look more into the map.

"Ok well, here they are," I said pointing at the red dots on the screen. Ah the red dots, bad memories.

"Kaia, are you sure you want to be here?" Jane asked me, looking down. "Well I do, I want to see what they do", I said. "Even if I'm not good with red dots," I said looking down. Pepper stormed in with Strange behind her, he had a smirk on his face.

"Kaia, you go talk to Strange, now," Pepper said, getting angry. "I don't want to," I said. "She doesn't want to because she knows what I'm going to say," Strange said from the back, which caught the girls' attention.

"Then if you know that I know, why are you even here," I said screaming. This man was annoying, gosh, his ego was way too high.

"Because I still need to talk to you," he said with a smirk. I looked at him angrily and exited the room passing next to him and headed to the kitchen, where he followed me.

Once we arrived at the kitchen I stood next to the kitchen island and said "Why are you here?" I grit my teeth before doing something stupid.

"Well it's great meeting you Kaia Odinson, Goddess of Manipulation, sister of Thor and Loki, daughter of the great leaders of Asgard," he exclaimed smiling. "What do you want, are you going to recite my life?" I said angrily.

"I came here to talk about someone," he said, sitting down in the chairs. "Ok?" I said, looking at him angrily. "Sit down," he said in an overly authoritative voice. I looked at him angrily for a moment and sat down in front of him.

"Someone is going to betray you," he said with no pity. It took me a moment to answer. "Yeah, Bucky," I said angrily, feeling the pain in my chest. Strange smirked and looked away. "You know Kaia, looking into the future or past is something very dangerous, but I had a feeling, and I wasn't wrong," he said, pausing, looking out of the window.

"When you first came to New York, it was when I had the feeling," he said before I looked at him in shock. "And you couldn't tell me before?!" I said angrily.

"It would ruin everything, everything has a specific timing," he said looking at me. "I'm just telling you to be careful," he said. I looked at him angrily and realized that he was only trying to help, even if his ego was so high.

"Thanks," I said looking down. There was a silence before I realized that he didn't respond when I said it was probably going to be Bucky, since he maybe remembers me, but says it's my fault for everything.

"Strange, can I ask you something?" I said looking at him. He looked back at me and nodded. "Will- will the Bucky I know- come back?" I said looking down. Strange looked at me and then looked down to the floor. I bit my bottom lip from trying not to cry.

"So that's it, I basically have been locked in my room, trying to do something, for nothing. Right? I always do things for nothing," I said trying not to cry, but tears were already coming down my cheeks. Strange looked at me.

KAIA'S MEMORY

It was a sunny day in Asgard when I was 10 years old. I played and played with my dolls. But that day was a special day, Loki was going to bring me somewhere father was not supposed to know about.

"Kaia, are you ready?" he asked me with a bright smile. "Yes!" I said laughing. I grabbed his hand and followed him, Loki was about 19 here. He brought me to a secret fortune teller in Asgard, you could say she was well hidden.

We went into her house and she was sitting down in a chair. She was a really beautiful woman, with bright curls and dark skin, with candles next to her and some cards in front of her. "Oh, my prince, and princess," she said, bowing in front of us. "Oh common Layla, quit it," Loki said laughing.

Loki and Layla were really close friends, but no one knew about their friendship except Thor and me. "So you brought the little one this time?" she said, looking at me.

"Yes," he said with a big smile. I sat down where she told me to sit and waited for her to talk. She closed her eyes and did somewhat of what Loki called unique magic. This was supposed to tell me my future, oh how clueless I was when I was younger.

Layla looked at Loki with a worrying face and then looked back at me with fear in her eyes. I looked back at Loki confused and he looked at me with a blank expression. "I- I wasn't expecting this," she said, her voice shaking.

"What is it?" I said asking nicely. "Kaia, princess of Asgard, you will have the future you have always wanted," she said before taking a deep breath. "But someone will break through it making everyone around you suffer it will lead to-" Layla said before Loki stopped her.

"Enough," he said, placing his hand on my shoulder. "We are leaving," he said, taking my hand. "But Loki, she wasn't done talking!" I said angrily. I was small, clueless, and had no idea what she meant. "Quit it, Kaia," Loki said.

I looked at Layla's face with fear everywhere on her face, I smiled and waved back at her. She waved back at me and Loki and I headed to the castle, I sang all the way, while Loki looked down.

END OF MEMORY

I looked at Strange speechless, "Did you do that?!" I said standing up. He looked at me and said "It had to come back," he said with no expression. "You- you made me have that memory back?!" I said, placing my hands in my head.

"Kaia, your 10-year-old self thought this was a game," Strange said, looking at me with all seriousness. I looked at him shocked.

"Loki- Loki knows," I said looking at Strange. Strange took a deep breath and said, "Your destiny has been written, a long time ago, even if you find out what your destiny looks like, it will be impossible to change it," Strange said looking back at the window.

"It's not worth it to ask Loki, he will only get mad at you, and you will do the same thing, it will only make you angrier," he said, raising his eyebrows.

"Well I guess thank you," I said with a fake smile leaving towards Tony's lab.
