CHAPTER 41

I went back to my room to get my phone to then go to Pepper's office. Every single one of them had left to look for Bucky, and I just wanted to go and try to look for him.

FLASHBACK 1 HOUR AGO

"We will find him, don't worry," Yelena said, winking at me. "Thanks," I said. "Take care, ok?" She placed her hand on my arm while she fixed her belt with her other hand."Of course, I will," I said laughing. They waved back at me while they were in the elevator.

I was heading back to my room when a strong voice said.

"Kaia,'' Thor's voice came from my back. It was Loki and Thor standing behind me. "Yes?" I said. We haven't talked a lot since Bucky got kidnapped, well I didn't talk with anyone except Nat and Pietro.

"We miss you, talking to you, and being with you," Thor said with a frown on his face. I missed talking with them too, but I couldn't handle talking with anyone. "Plus, Father and Mother want to see us again," Loki said, smiling. "When?" I asked. "In a few days, if you want to," Thor said.

I agreed and just because I wanted to spend more time with my brothers. I didn't want to go back to Asgard. Not after what happened last time. "Ok, I guess we can go," I said, smiling. "Ha, I knew you would want to come," Thor said excitedly, giving Loki and me a hug.

"Well, I do miss you guys too," I said, smiling. "Well of course you do," Loki said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "Aren't you guys going with the others?" I asked, looking at him. "Yes, don't worry we are going to look for your boyfriend, we just wanted to talk to you," Thor said annoyed.

I laughed and gave them a hug again. It felt nice to be with them again.

FLASHBACK ENDS, BACK TO PRESENT TIME

I lied down for a few minutes in my head to rest, until I got a call from Pepper. I sighed and picked up the phone. "Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?" Pepper asked me. "Hey Pepper, I'm ok, and you?" I asked her.

"Well I was fine until Stark called me," she said laughing, obviously joking. "Oh no, what did he say?" I said, giggling. "He said if you wanted to come with me to control their movements, I didn't want to disturb you," Pepper said with a calm voice.

"Oh, actually, I don't mind, I want to help them,'' I said excitedly. "Oh well that's great," she said laughing. "Meet me at the main meeting room, on Tony's floor," Pepper said. "Ok see you," I said, hanging up the phone.

I got up from the bed to see the little box in the corner of my room. I didn't want to open it, not yet. I put on my socks and headed to the main meeting room. When I entered the room, Selene, Jane, Darcy, and Pepper were there.

It had been about 5 months since I saw these girls. I put my hand over my mouth and gave them a hug. "I missed you guys," I said, squishing them. "We missed you too," Jane said, smiling. They all knew that I was pregnant but they were still surprised.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them. "Well they are going to help us," Pepper said laughing. "Oh ok, well that's great," I said laughing. I sat down next to them in one of the chairs and began looking at the projector on the wall.

FLASHBACK BACK TO 5 MONTHS AGO.

"Please, tell me you will find him," I said desperately. "I will try my best," Fury said. He then hung up the call and I was left with no words, collapsing onto the seat. Of course, it wasn't going to be that easy to get him. It was me.

I already knew what was happening, they didn't find him. I started crying as if I couldn't control my own emotions. I felt anger yet sadness taking over it. Nat and Steve just looked at me sadly. "Why the fuck does this happen," I said looking down trying not to cry.

They didn't respond but all the way back I was either crying or sleeping.

We got off the elevator of the tower and I went running to my room with red, puffy eyes. "What the hell is wrong with her?" asked Loki. I guess Fury told them that they've found him, but not capture him.

I went into the room and threw everything around, all of my clothes to the ground, everything in the table was on the ground now, all my products, I knocked everything down, everything except Bucky's clothes. I couldn't do this, I couldn't sleep in this room anymore. I took some of my things and without asking I went into Yelena's room.

It might seem rude to me, but I needed to stay away from that room for a long time. Yelena came in to see me crying on her floor. "Kaia?" She rushed toward me. She sat down next to me and gave me a hug. "It's okay, you're okay," she said, hugging me. After a long time of me crying she figured out why I was here.

"Well I guess, this will be an excuse to watch movies," he said looking at some of the clothes I brought. "Yeah," I said, trying to get rid of the tears burning my cheeks. "Hey, we will be here for you, and you will be ok, ok? I promise you," she said, placing her hand on my shoulder while I sat on the floor of her room.

Well she wasn't wrong but after a few weeks of me being with her, I got put in a room next to Nat, and that's when things went very badly.

"Kaia, open the door," Nat said after the 35th time of me ignoring her to come into my room. "Leave me alone," I said angrily.

Anger took over me and I couldn't control it, my powers were a mess, and I didn't let myself use them, just in case I hurt anyone.

About a month later, I was finally coming out of my room, just to go to Nat's room. It had been some weeks that I didn't see anyone except Nat. They all tried talking with me but I didn't want to hear anything. It sounds like I was very dramatic, but well.

The last month before Fury told me they found him, was, well I don't even know how to explain it. I saw them just because I had to cross them when I went to the Doctor, but I wouldn't reply to them. My hair was a mess, my eyes were always puffy from crying every night, and there was no control over me.

FLASHBACK ENDS, PRESENT TIME.

I was sitting next to the girls when the door of the Avengers floor rang. We had a door so that not everyone could go in. "I'll get it," I said, getting up. I went down the stairs and opened the door, to see a tall man, with a red cape behind him, and what seemed like a necklace with an amulet. He had bright blue eyes. I looked at him confused and said. "Hello..?" "Kaia, nice to meet you," he said, reaching out for my hand.

"Uh, who are you?" I said pulling back. "Haven't you been taught to let guests inside?" he said smiling, he seemed impatient. "Yeah, but you're not a guest because no one invited you," I said, smiling. "Actually I called Stark and he said that I could come in," he said.

"Yeah, well guess what, he isn't here," I said with a fake smile. "What's going on?" Pepper said coming down to see the man that tried to go in. "Strange!" she said walking over. "Hello Pepper," he said with a real smile now.

"Please come in," she said, smiling. "Thank you for letting me in," he said, looking at me. "I heard Tony said that you were going to come," Pepper said going upstairs with him, while I followed them from the back.

"Ah yes," He said looking at Pepper. "Do you need anything?" she said, "I have to talk to her," he said, pointing his finger at me. "Me?! What even are you?" I said I was losing my patience. Pepper gave me an angry look and I smiled.

"I am Doctor Strange, Kaia Odinson," He said looking at me. I heard about him multiple times in meetings, if anything went wrong they would call him, that's what they always said. Yet, they never called him for when we needed him.
