CHAPTER 36

5 DAYS LATER

We have been working like crazy. Almost no sleep and always in front of the computer. Darcy and I did most of the work but it was fun with her. Pietro just stayed around, Vision was coming every hour to make sure everyone was ok, Nat was controlling the press with Pepper, and finally Loki, I have no absolute idea of what he is doing, but I know for a fact that he has been with Selene.

Today it's the last day the rest of the Avengers were on the mission, they had one last base, and I was so happy they would all come back home. "All right everyone, today is the last day, so get to work and work hard," Fury said, annoyed.

"Well, after this will we be in touch?" Darcy asked. Darcy had been so nice to me, and she was a really good friend. "Obviously," I said laughing. "Good," she said smiling. We got back to work and my head was killing me but I tried to ignore it.

"Hello girls," Nat said, taking a chair and sitting down, resting her legs on the table. "Hello," I said, giving her a hug. "Excited they are coming back?" Nat said, smirking. "Yes," I said smiling. "Girl you're more than excited," she said laughing.

"Fury said we could go get some sandwiches that they have in there," Nat said pointing at a room. "I'll be waiting here if Maria or Fury needs something," I said smiling. "Ok I'll grab you something," Nat said and headed out with Darcy.

I was looking at the map when I had a facetime call from Bucky. "Hey Doll!" He said fixing his hair. "Hey what's up?" I said smiling. "Nothing, well I was thinking about the fact that tonight we will all see each other," he said smirking. I laughed and said, "What are you guys doing now?" "Well, we are getting everything packed and ready so that when we finish this last base, we can just hop on the plane," he said smiling.

"Well then I'll see you later," I said smiling at him. "Always and forever," he said hanging up with a smile. I was playing around with the computer when I saw Vision coming in. He looked calmer than before, but I knew he still had that bad feeling.

I waved at him so that he could come to sit next to me. He saw me and came towards me. "Hey, Vision!" I said. "Hi Kaia," he greeted looking down. He still has the feelings. "Vison? What's wrong?" I said anxious, I really really hope he says something that does not have to do with the feelings he has about someone in danger.

He looked at me in the eyes and said, "I'm sorry- I can't find who is the one in danger." "It's ok Vision," I said giving him a hug. "It's alright, they are coming back tonight, they all are," I said forcing a smile.

He has no idea who it could be, but he had a feeling it could be one of us, the ones in New York. "Why don't you go eat with Nat?" I said pointing at where she was. "I will, thank you, Kaia," he said with a smile. I smiled back at him and looked at the map nervously.

Darcy, Nat, Vision, and Pietro were all having what seemed like an interesting conversation. Obviously, Nat and Pietro were arguing, but I guess that's because they get along. My phone rang, and it was Tony.

"Hey Ton-" I said before he cut me off. "When on earth were you going to tell us you were pregnant?!" he whispered into the phone angrily. "W-what?!" I said confused. "Don't what me, the doctor Laura told me," Tony said angrily. I was so angry, I looked back at Nat and shook my head. She immediately knew what was up.

"I didn't want to tell you guys yet!" I said. "Well everyone except Thor knows," Tony said clearly annoyed. "WHAT?!" I screamed enough so that Tony heard me. "Doctor Laura texted me and Cap, and let's say they all read it except your brother," Tony said. "What did Bucky do?" I said taking a deep breath. "He got angry, but he then started talking about the BABIES," Tony said.

"I'm sorry Tony, I didn't tell you before," I said. "It's ok but congratulations," he said. "Thank you, Tony," I said. "Well I have to pass you to Bucky because he's complaining, you guys can only talk for five minutes, we are literally getting out of the jet for the last base," Tony said. "Ok thank you!" I said.

"Hey Doll," Bucky said. "So now everyone knows, huh," I said laughing. "Well except your smart brother," Bucky said laughing. "Well, either way, we will probably have to tell him tonight," I said. "Yea, well, either way, tonight we will be back in New York," Bucky said.

"I know! I'm really excited to see you all!" I said smiling. "Well I have to go now doll, I'll see you later," Bucky said. "Bye and please be careful," I said taking a deep breath. "Of course and you too Doll," He said. I hang up the call and Darcy, Nat, Pietro, and Vision came towards the desk.

"Well here we go, last mission in months," I said smiling. Nat smiled and said, "Let's help them." They all sat next to me and we got to work. "Alright everyone, last mission, you avengers plus Darcy better work your ass off," Fury said

3 HOURS LATER

The mission was finished, it was finally done. I felt relief in my body that nothing bad happened to them. They send us a message that they were on their way back, so we packed our things and waited for Fury.

"Well you guys can go back to the tower, they all are coming back, so I guess this will be our last goodbye until some months," Fury said. "We will miss you," Nat said sarcastically. "Yeah, you guys will," Fury said rolling his eyes. I gave my phone number to Darcy and we left the building.

Vision was even worse than before, he didn't look like he was ok. "Well, vacation here we come," Nat said laughing.
