CHAPTER 19

I angrily sat at the back of the Jet where I was isolated. The Jet was incredibly cold, so I wrapped myself with my jacket. Nat was fighting for her life, aided by the doctors on the other floor of the jet. Everyone started to get onto the plane without talking and they all looked pretty confused. Bucky saw me and came with me. "Hey doll," Bucky said sitting next to me pulling me close to him. "Hi," I said upset. "Don't get mad at him, Nat is like a sister to him," Bucky said. "He can't treat me like a kid one day and the next day like an adult, Buck," I said looking at him.

Bucky sighed and kissed my forehead. "Don't worry about it too much," Bucky said. I looked the other way and tried to sleep. The flight was not really long it was only 30 minutes. I felt huge guilt, and I felt bad for Tony

I stood up slowly to try and not to wake Bucky up and headed to where Tony was. Tony had his hands over his face and he looked exhausted. "Uh- Tony?" I said. Tony quickly looked at me and said "Listen, Kaia, I didn't mean to put that pressure on you, but I just can't let anything happen to Nat, or to any of you," Tony said tiredly. "I'm sorry," I said wearily. "It's alright," Tony said hugging me. "And don't worry you will be coming with us next time," Tony said laughing.

I pulled back from the hug to see Tony tearing up "Thanks," I said with a big smile, Tony just nodded and I went back happily to my seat. Tony had a big heart but he sometimes does not know how to show it. When we arrived at the tower we headed down to the main floor to see reporters everywhere.

They were all asking for Nat, "H-how do they know?" I asked. "They are reporters, the pain in the butt" Steve said angrily. "We had to inform the hospital about what happened, and someone might have told them," Tony said. We all went forward to tell them to leave, we were really close to them when a reporter said "Who's the new girl?" Which of course they were talking about me since they never presented me as an Avenger.

"No one," I said smiling. We got them to leave outside but they were still taking pictures of us and screaming outside. Bucky held my hand while we were going upstairs which made me feel safe. We headed upstairs when Pepper ran towards me and said "You- you scared me, Kaia!" She said holding me tight. "I'm ok now," I said smiling. Pepper sighed and went next to Tony. They were talking about Tony's suit and about the improvements they made.

Once we arrived at the hospital floor we were all waiting for Nat to wake up. After some hours it was only Bucky, Steve, Sam, and I waiting for Nat. Everyone else had to do "work things" so they told us to call them if anything happened. The chairs were pretty uncomfortable so Bucky told me to go lay down with him on the sofa's there were in the waiting room.

After some minutes I sat on top of the couch and played with Bucky's hair, it was longer than when I came for the first time. "Can I do a hairstyle on your hair?" I said laughing. "Sure," He said smiling.

I started to do my braids on his hair then stood still in his hair. He had black silky hair, which made it easy to braid his hair. I did about 3 little braids around his hair, and when I was done I said "There you go," I said laughing. "Does it look good?" Bucky said touching the braids. "Yes they do," I said laughing.

After an hour of waiting Bucky fell asleep on top of my stomach and Sam was talking with me. "Steve, come," Sam said to Steve. Steve worriedly came and sat with us on the sofa. "What's wrong man?" Sam asked. "Is she going to be ok?" Steve asked worriedly. "She's THE Black Widow," Sam said. "She's really strong," I said trying to comfort Steve. Steve nodded and after one more hour, they were all asleep on the sofa except me.

"Family of Miss Romanoff? The nurse said with a paper in her hands. "Yes!" I said putting Bucky away from my stomach so that I could stand up. "Hello, she just woke up, so only one of you can go in-- well they seem like they are asleep so you can go in, please don't make her tired," The nurse said. I quickly entered the room to see Nat laying in the hospital, I ran and gave her a hug. "Kaia.." Nat said tiredly. "I was so worried Nat!" I said. "I know you were," Nat said laughing.

"How are you feeling?" I asked. "Better than ever," Nat said laughing. "Who came?" Nat said looking around. "Well- Steve, Sam, and Bucky are here but they are sleeping on the sofa outside," I said laughing. Nat laughed and said "Well I'm glad to see you" "I'm glad to see you too," I said smiling.

We talked for what seemed like hours when Bucky came in with a sleepy face, "Can someone please explain to me why Sam snores so loudly?" Bucky said confused. "Well hello Bucky," Nat said laughing. "Hey Nat," Bucky said going to give her a hug. Bucky came kissed me deeply. I squeezed his hands and he sat next to me. "So I forgot to tell you guys something," Nat said clearing her throat. "The reason why there was an explosion was that I opened a cabinet that had some files inside of them," Nat said looking at me.

"What files?" I asked. "There were files of your brothers and you," Nat said looking down. "I thought we were done with this," I said confused. "They looked like personal files," Nat said. "What was on them?" Bucky asked. "There were pictures of when you guys were younger and stories of you guys," Nat said. Was someone following us since we were younger? It made no sense.

I covered my face with my hands in stress, "I have the files, that's why the bomb exploded," Nat said handing Bucky 3 papers. "This person seems to know everything of you guys, especially you Kaia," Nat said. "Here, I'm calling my brothers now, I'll explain everything to them and we will figure something out," I said nervously.

Bucky looked at me as I was about to break down and pulled me into a hug. I took my phone and called Thor. "Thor- I need Loki, Tony, Bruce, and you to come down now, to the hospital floor." "Alright, we are coming," Thor said. After some minutes they all came down to see us holding some files of when we were younger.

"Where did you get this from?" Said Thor snatching the papers away. "Nat found them in the mission," I said. "What?!" Loki said confused. Nat explained to them what she told Bucky and me and Thor said "That's impossible, this is Asgardian paper," Thor said. "We will run a test over them," Bruce said. "But it looks like this person is trying to get you guys to fall into a trap," Tony said. "Well, it won't happen," Loki said.

We all left the room since it was time for Nat to rest and we all headed to the meeting room. "Do you guys have any idea of who it can be?" Bruce said. "No, but since it's Asgardian paper, it had to be taken out of Asgard," I said "Right, I'll run the tests," Bruce said.

We all sat nervously on the chairs moving around to let go of the stress, to wait for the result. "You guys, the fingertips do not match to any Asgardian one," Bruce said. "Then who's it?" I asked. "It's from a woman named Yelena Belova," Bruce said.
