Walking in the front I saw white walls and red chairs by big windows.

There were two big doors behind the desk, Gust opened it and went inside

"Are we allowed to go back there?" I asked Rosie, she shook her head and said, "No but trying to keep Gust out of trouble is like trying to stop time."

We trailed behind him passing doors and he stopped in the back.

We peered into the window behind him and saw the boy laying on a table as the lady examined him.

The boy and girl that helped carry him in were standing on his other side, the boy was holding a rag to his head.

They were all wearing gloves and a face mask as if they could catch it too.

We watched as the lady took out 
a long medal stick and stuck it into his arm, it looked like it would hurt if he was awake

"What's that?" I asked.

"A needle," Rosie said.

"What's a needle?" I asked again, I had many books but they didn't tell me everything.

"There're what Melanie gives you when your sick or when we get our yearly shots," Gust said as he fogged up the glass and wiped it off to look back inside.

"Yearly shots?" I repeated, "I never had those."

"Lucky," Gust mumbled.

"Well maybe we can ask Melanie when she's done if you could get yours," Rosie said.

Melanie took the shot out of his arm, she must have took blood out because she got a small white thing and put it under a telescope.

She looked into it and made a face when she looked back up, "Oh dear," she said,

"What is it?" the boy asked taking the rag off the other boys head and sitting it down on a stool.

"Listen kids I hate to tell you this but I'm afraid there's no current cure for his condition," Melanie said taking her gloves off.

"What do you mean?" The girl asked, "what dose he have?"

"A very rare and dangerous virus that I haven't seen in years," she said, the others looked at her with wide eyes, "You don't mean-

He didn't finish because the girl that was standing next to him was now staring at the window looking at us.
And she didn't look to happy to see us watching them.
