(Vidia's view)
I woke the next morning to find my cat Abby hissing at something outside, I got out of bed then made my way to the window and looked out to see a enormous beast making it's way toward the house.

"What in the world?" I thought, as I hurriedly stepped back in horror as the ground seemed to crumble beneath my feet and I fell through the floor and seemed to be falling through a void of darkness and empty space.

I squeezed the jade pin on my bracelet that Shadow had given me, which lit up with a bright blue light as his face shimmered into being.

"Shadow!" I cried, and he smiled at me quickly. "What's wrong, Vidia?" he asked, as he saw the fear in my eyes.
"There's an enormous beast coming for me, and I don't know what to do." I said, and his expression turned cold.

"Where are you?" he asked, and I quickly glanced around. "Floating in a black void."
