Chapter Three - The War
(Aquamarine's POV) Doing this third person style .3.
Seeing the White Diamonds approaching, Aquamarine's thirst for destruction appeared. "Fire Opal, since White Diamonds are influencing the wind, I want you to stay behind." Fire Opal scowled, "What am I suppose to do then?" Before she could say a word, a terrible wind blasted along the row of pillars and hit her from behind, pushing her foward. "They're near..." she mumbled. "Never mind, I want you to warn Blue Diamond. Get the troops of water users and meet me at the gate." Aquamarine commanded and sprinted towards the gate.
Setting foot at the front gate, she saw White Diamond smiling, next to him stood her right-hand man. She had green gistening hair, but her face wasn't shown. "It has been a long time, hasn't it?" White asked, and moved foward. "Yes it has. My oh my, look at all those soldiers. I wonder how many of them can be turn into slaves," Aquamarine licked her lips. "None of them! None!" His right-hand man finally spoke. "Emerald, don't show your fear towards the enemy, most likely the Blue Diamonds, they gain more powers by it," White Diamond said, stroking Emerald's head. "Enough talking, let's settle it this instant," Aquamarine cried.
Emerald lunged without any warning, Aquamarine dove aside, narrowly avoiding the charge. Emerald struck the pillar with the force of an earthquake. Chunks of marble exploded out, and a web of cracks spread across the surface. Aquamarine looked at her in disbelief. W- What is she! H-how... "You look surprise, what's the matter?" White Diamond cackled. Aquamarine grunted and got up.
With a burst of light, Aquamarine pulled out her sword. Emerald sprang again, but this time Aquamarine flipped gracefully out of the way. She surveyed the battleground. Standing still, she felt a force of wind. Suddenly, Emerald kicked her sharply that sent her tumbling. She saw the other soldiers standing behind, doing nothing but watch. I see... that's they're strategy huh? Hopefully Fire Opal is bringing reinforcements, I need them to distract the soldiers.
"What? Aqua's too scared to get up?" White Diamond mocked. "Don't get too cocky White, I'm just going easy on you." Aquamarine front-flip back up and readied her sword. Emerald charged her again, and she dodged to one side. she saw an opening where she could have used the sword, but she waited a little longer. Finally, Fire Opal dashed over to Aquamarine. "Attack the soldiers, leave White and his right-hand man to me," she ordered. Fire Opal nodded and did what was told.
And so, the war started. Swords clashing, arrows flinging, gems poofing. Aquamarine's primary attention was reserved for the gem that charged at her. Aquamarine crouched into my fighting stance. Clutching her fist, the gem sprang towards her, leaping further than seemed possible, lips peeled back in a hateful grimace. Aquamarine used her sword to prevent her from moving further, then spun and thrust the sword into her chest, impaling her."C-congratulation.... you figure it out..." she said and disappears, leaving only her gem behind. Aquamarine bubbled Emerald's gemstone and teleported it back to the torture temple.
White Diamond glared at her in hatred. "Well?" Aquamarine said, smirking.
"Soldiers, retrea-"Before White Diamond could finish, Blue Diamond walked over.
"Not so fast White, you aren't going anywhere. Thanks Aqua, but I can handle this by myself," He said, winking at her. She looked at him, uneased, "A- as you command, Blue Diamond."
Aquamarine rushed towards Fire Opal. "How's it going?" She asked. "Well, a few of our gems has been poofing and reforming, what do you think?" Fire Opal said. Using her pyrokenisis power, she blasted fire from her scepter, it wasn't effective but good enough to keep them busy.
Unexpectedly, a dazling collumn blazed into existence, more intese than a fire, casting long shadows around the castle. When the light disappeared, I saw the two Diamonds holding their weapons, White holding a spear, Blue holding a flail. Blue swung his mace toward White, but White dodge it. White used his spear and tried to stab Blue, but Blue rolled to one side. "You know this is impossible, why are you still trying?" Blue laughed. "I wont let you torture anymore gems! Forcing them to do all your dirty works while you do nothing bu-" Blue flung his mace towards White, cutting him off. Seeing White transformed into a diamond, some of his soldiers gasped.
Soon, Aquamarine was locked in sword-to-sword combat with a Chalcedony, he moved like an acrobat, twisted and leaping with vicious grace, but Aquamarine seemed up to the challenge, deflecting every blow and attacking with astounding spped. The Chaledony pivoted just in time to dodge a sword thrust from her. He tried to undercut her leg with his sword, but she jumped the attempt and once again very nearly stabbed him. As he tried to attack with his sword she chopped it in half with great strength.
Aquamarine jabbed him in his stomach. He gazed at her eyes for the last time, and dissappeared into thin air. Aquamarine bubbled every gems that she had fought and teleported it back to the temple. None of the gems wanted to fight after seeing White poofing, not wanting to reform back. The war was over, the Blue Diamond had won.
Days later~
Aquamarine was gazing at the stars, it felt so... peaceful. But the faces of the innocents still spun in her head. "Aquamarine..." She heard her name. "Aquamarine..." It got louder. She then heard a long sigh. "Aquamarine!" Someone said, shaking her.
"Oh Fire Opal, I didn't hear you walked by..." She said, chuckling nervously. "Yeah right, Blue Diamond wants to see you immediately!" She said, furstrated. Aquamarine nodded and head staright to Blue Diamond's room.
When she walked in, Blue Diamond was examining a white diamond. The horrible memories came flooding back like a tidal wave. "Ah Aquamarine," Blue Diamond said.
"Why'd you call me sir?"
"Please, call me Blue when we're alone." He said, grinning widely.
"Okay..."
"Well, we've recieved tons of gems from the small war a few days ago... I decided to give you one of them to be your slave."
She looked at him in shocked. A... A slave? But why? "Umm... no thanks, Si- I mean Blue." She studdered.
"Why so you look pale, i thought you like to torture people!" He asked in a curious tone. Aquamarine kept quiet.
"Think about it as a gift from me, please?"
Aquamarine stared at Blue Diamond for quite some time. "Alright, fine! I'll only pick one! But I want Fire Opal to pick one too."
"Deal."
