Soo Mi's POV

Things were sort of going out of hand now. Jinnie Oppa has been more distant than ever since the new album's release last week. Me, Tae, and Kook were worried over him. This is what led to this discussion in my room after everyone went to bed.

But do you know what the best thing about this situation is? I can't focus on the conversation; like, at all. Something's nagging on the back of my mind. Something that Tae's eomma told me when she called to congratulate on the album.

Flashback

We were sitting in the living room, checking ARMY's response to the songs from the new album on Twitter and YouTube. Suddenly my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID and smiled. It was Eomma Kim. 

We had grown closer than ever by speaking to each other almost every day. "Eomma Kim! How are you doing?" I heard her chuckle softly at my excited voice, "Put the phone on speaker."

I complied. "Kids!" She exclaimed, causing everyone to look up, smiling when they recognized the voice. "The songs were amazing. I and your Appa loved them so much TaeTae! Congrats and wishes from everyone!" Everyone responded very happily and talked to her for a while.

"Mi-ah?"

"Yes, eomma?"

"Can we speak in private?" I tilted my head questioningly but went out of the room. "What is it, Eomma Kim?"

She sounded hesitant, "Do you like my son? In a more-than-friends way?" I choked; literally. "What?" I could feel my cheeks heat up almost immediately. "Don't get me wrong, but I think so. Maybe you don't know yet?" I didn't know what to say so I said, "M-maybe."

Her next question took me by surprise, "Do you think of him as your best friend?" "Of course, yes!" I replied almost immediately. "Then you might think of him as a brother too?" I fell silent. I- I had never thought of him as a- as a brother. The rest of the guys were my brothers but, Tae had always stayed in the BFF category.

When I didn't reply, she said, "That's what I thought. Think about it, okay?" and hung up before I could say anything else, leaving me baffled. Did I like him? I shook my head before going back in.

"-I think it's because of that, hyung and- Noona, are you even listening?" Kook was looking at me, annoyed. I blushed and apologized. "Petal," Tae said, and I turned to him, "What do you think Jin hyung is upset about? He isn't even eating properly nowadays!" He sounded so worried that the gravity of the matter suddenly knocked me off my feet.

"I think there is someone behind it rather something."

Taehyung looked surprised. "What do you mean someone?" I looked at both of them before replying, "What if Oppa likes someone? And he is eating less and practicing more because he thinks he isn't-" "Good enough for that person?" Kook completed for me before turning to Tae, "Hyung, actually I remember Jin hyung saying something about liking someone."

"And you're saying this now?" I whisper-yelled at him while he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Then definitely that must be the case, Mi," Tae said thoughtfully, frowning. 

"But hyung!" Kookie interrupted, "It's Jin hyung! Even if that's the case, I don't think he will listen to us. Why don't we go to Joonie hyung tomorrow?"

I thought for a moment, "Actually, that is a good idea. We'll talk to him tomorrow. Go to sleep," I put a hand on Tae's shoulder, "Don't worry too much, okay TaeTae? We'll figure something out." I was rewarded with his beautiful boxy smile before they went back to their rooms. At least I hope we'll figure something out.

After we reached the company in the morning, I and Tae went straight to Joonie Oppa's studio. He knocked on the door and Oppa answered immediately. We went in and I would have laughed at the state of the studio if we weren't in this situation.

"Hyung," Tae got straight into the matter, "Jin hyung isn't well at all." Oppa's smile disappeared immediately and his forehead creased into a frown. "I know. I've noticed." 

"Oppa," he looked up, "We- we think he likes someone and he's trying to be better for them." Don't think I didn't notice his surprised gasp and white face. It was as if something- something snapped in him. His demeanor changed immediately.

"I- I will t-talk to him today. Don't worry too much about- about him. I will handle it," He immediately made us leave the studio. As soon as we got out, Tae asked, "What was that about?" 

I was equally surprised but I sort of guessed, "Maybe Joonie hyung isn't happy with Jin hyung liking someone?" As soon as those words left my mouth, we stared at each other in horror.

"Oh. My. God," 

Tae ran a hand through his hair, "What did we do?! Joonie hyung likes Jin hyung and Jin hyung likes someone else! We shouldn't have talked to him at all!" I put an arm around his shoulder, equally frustrated, "Yah, we didn't know! But whatever, come on we need to tell Jungkook!" We rushed back to the room where I and Tae usually practiced.

"Namjoon hyung likes Jin hyung? This is gonna be such a huge mess!" Kookie was worried as well. "I know right?" Tae seemed angry at himself, "We have to find out who Jin hyung likes before things go topsy-turvy all over again!"

"But TaeTae," I exclaimed as something else dawned on me, "We can't fix this problem without breaking either Joonie Oppa's or Jinnie Oppa's heart!" Tae punched the wall in agitation. The rest of the guys and ARMY mean too much for us to hurt him even by a simple word. "We're in a mighty big fix," Kookie sighed, sinking to the floor.

Tae suddenly turned to me, "Do you have any idea who this person might be? If that guy turns out to be a bad nut, there is a chance that both of our hyungs can be saved." I shook my head, disappointed. "Let's go back to the hyungs. I need to clear my head," Kook said, and we were going back to the room when my phone buzzed.

I have a few unofficial Twitter and YouTube accounts which don't mention my name. It was a notification from one of my favorite #BTSmoments YouTube channels.

My eyes widened as I realized something, "Oh my god. I'm such an idiot."
