No Internet

Today was a cleaning day for my family. Though we wanted to see a movie, we decided to listen to our dad and clean. The entire time the internet was turned off at our house. I baked cookies for the Superbowl tomorrow. Around three o'clock I got really upset at myself. After cleaning up what my parents asked I ran to my room. I decided to catch up on my devotionals to attempt to calm down and it worked. I also found the time and cheerfulness to write a letter.
Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
– Luke 14:12-14 (NIV)

This is a counter culture statement to our transactional age. We often base our relationships upon how people can help us go forward in a career or endeavor, but Jesus challenges us to reach out to those who can’t do a thing for our personal advancement. What would happen if we took the time and resources to bless those couldn’t repay us? The world might be a different place. It certainly will be a different place for those we bless." -Dave Whitehead
Happy birthday to John Carlin from the Super Carlin Brothers.

Please pray for my family. We have a lot of things trying to break is apart and I do not want a family that is separated. If you have any prayer requests please share. I would love to pray for you. Soar on, Eagle Army!
