Today was a normal Sunday morning.
After church, my mom and I went shopping for football (soccer for you common Americans) equiptment. Conditioning starts tomorrow and I am getting really pumped for this. We also stopped for a Starbucks treat and I think a Java Chip Frappuccino is my new favorite drink.
My church is having an AWAKENED conference every night until Wednesday this week. We have special speaker Harvey Carey speaking and everyone really likes him. Teaching children is one of my favorite Christians growing up. He is one of the Big Three for me. He taught me when I was in elementary. There was him and his partner. I preferred him over the other one and looked forward to when it was his week to preach, even as a little girl. Unlike the other teacher, he was always sincere about the lesson and did not make it goofy. I prefer deep conversations and I knew I would get that instead of goofy when he taught. He moved to Missouri when I was in the fourth grade and the last time they visited was about four years ago. I am so happy to see his family again. They are all so sweet.

Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
