Chapter 5
The day skipped by quicker than I knew it,
And suddenly it was time to go home, I remembered I asked Evelyn if she wanted to hang out earlier this morning so I walked past the black wooden doors of the school and sat down on the moss filled cobble steps.
Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
To keep myself occupied whilst I waited I decided to have a look around the environment around the school grounds.
I noticed many things on my snooping session, the way no birds seemed to go anywhere near the school and the way that the dead leaves fell ever so gracefully off the surrounding trees.
Soon however I noticed that the once shining sun illuminating the sky lowered its light, leaving the sky into a black void, mist dancing in the air giving the moon an eerie look.
"Well, there goes my idea of hanging out with Evelyn..." I pondered all these thoughts in my head as I walked down the pavement to my house.
Soon enough I arrived in my neighbourhood and could see my small little country cottage in the distance. I was dreading walking through that door. My dad is over protective with me around boys, let alone being all alone in a new town until 9pm...in the dark...as a young 15 year old female...with no way to protect myself. At all.
Oh well. We can only hope for the best.
