Imp's POV

After playing video games and me making fun of Red for four hours we decided to head to bed. Head to bed as in lay together cuddled up with each other until Red falls asleep. We're not together or anything sadly, but Red has trouble sleeping and he didn't want me to give up my bed so we slept together. Not in that way!

I'm on the bed waiting for Red to get changed in the bathroom. He had to borrow one of my hoodies because we didn't stop to get him clothes. I said we should but Red doesn't let me go to his house. He says it's because he has really strict parents but when he says it I can see in his eyes that he's lying. I don't know what's going on with his parents but I wanna be there for him.

Red walks in with boxers and my hoodie on. I couldn't help but stare. I finally looked away and patted the place beside me. He lays down next to me. I pull him close and we kinda just stay there soaking up each other's presence.

*1 hour later*

Red's been asleep for 30mins now. I've just been admiring his beauty. He looks so peaceful. Unlike his scared and shy look when he's awake. He always seems scared like something bad is gonna happen.

My mind wonders back to when we met.

*flashback*

I was walking down the hall from football practice when I heard cries of pain. I rush towards the sound thinking someone hurt themselves. But I looked to see the cruelest thing a ever a small boy getting beat up by seniors. I want to rush over but I would just get shoved aside.

The boy looks so scared he's crying too. He has bright blue eyes. And oddly colored red hair. As I look at him I see that he has bruises and scars all over him some of them are from right now and others look old.

Once they finally go away I rush towards him and he shakily crawls backwards crying. Then he said something that broke my heart.

"Please don't hurt me I'll do your homework I promise please!"

"No no no I'm here to help I promise."

He peaks out from his hands he was guarding his face with and looks at me. He still looks slightly scared and confused. Like no ones ever helped him. Well that's gonna change.

I stick my hand out and he flinches. He looks at it then me then takes my hand. I pull him up then look at him to see if he has any severe injuries. I look back up at him and with his face red he mumbles.

"I-I'm Red."

"I'm Imp. Nice to meet you!"

He flinched at my loud tone. We look at each other for a little but something seems off. Then it clicks football practice is over where are his parents.

"Where are your parents?"

"Uh they're not coming."

"Why not?"

"I walk home."

"Why?"

"Because I have to."

"Why?"

"You ask a lot of questions."

"I get that a lot."

"Well I better get home."

He walks past me in a hurry. Not wanting him to go yet I ask.

"How about my mom gives you a ride?"

He was hesitant like he did and didn't want it at the same time. Soon after he said.

"Sure."

*flashback end*

We ended up dropping him off at a park near his house. My mom was suspicious but didn't ask any questions. I didn't either not wanting to seem annoying.

I look down at Red and smile. Pulling him closer and closing my eyes. I drift off to sleep.

Dreaming a dream of Red as mine.
