Red's POV

I sat on the creaky, old swing, bored out of my mind.

Ding!

I look at my phone and see that Dusk texted me.

Dusk: Hi!
Red: Hey
Dusk: Is this Red?
Red: Yup
Dusk: great! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. I found this cool abandoned park near my house and I want someone to check it out with me
Red: idk. Scary things aren't my thing...
Dusk: Come on it'll be fun!
Dusk: I promise I won't let you die
Red: That's not comforting at all
Dusk: come on, please!
Red: ...
Red: okay fine
Dusk: Yay! I'll text you the address. See ya later
Red: See ya

*Time skip*

I walk to the park which is conveniently near my house.

'Great...'

I see the rather creepy park in the distance.

"BOO!"

"AH!"

Suddenly, Dusk pops out of nowhere, scaring me half to death.

She laughs, holding her stomach.

"Not funny! I wasn't even scared." I mumble the last part.

"Sure 'cause you didn't just jump ten feet in the air." She says rolling her eyes fondly.

Annoyed, I walk towards the park, forgetting my fear of it earlier. Dusk jogged for a couple of seconds to catch up with me, snickering as she did.

"Chill it was just a joke." She says looking at me.

"Why are we here? There's nothing wrong with it. Other than the fact that it's falling apart, and it's utterly disgusting." I say touching the slide and grimacing at the amount of dirt on it.

"I just think it's a cool place to hang out." She says sitting on one of the swings.

"Careful it might fall on you." I say looking at the unstable chain holding it up.

"Pfft I-" She cuts herself off, sitting up straight, and looking around with a concerned gaze.

"What?" I say confused.

"Shh do you hear that?" She says putting a finger to her lips.

"No-"

Footsteps.

I freeze and look at Dusk. She nods her head towards underneath the slide, motioning for me to hide.

I go under it and suddenly the stranger appears from the woods.

Except this isn't a stranger.

Dun dun dun! At first this was supposed to be a Halloween special but I started it last minute and couldn't get it finished in time. And I realized I could use this to give major background on the new character. And don't worry next part will be up soon.
