Taking a step forward mother grabs my arm, shaking her head while watching the fight. My hands are in fists as I hold them to my heart, tears begin to well in my eyes as I think about all the stupid things I put the poor bastard through. Yet he still wants me, even though he could get himself killed. Another scream of pain, followed by another. Their simply toying with him now, taking little piece by little piece out. He’s only manages to get a few bites in, before the other one would attack causing him to let go.

    More rain soaks into their furs, as the yellow hot lighting flashes in my eyes. Salim isn’t moving anymore, he’s completely still in the mud. His red fur even redder then before, his low whines are enough to send me into a fit of tears. My father is still standing on the safety of his porch, when his words reach me.
    “I did this for you” The thunder roars over my head, as I turn to see him.
    “No, you didn’t. You didn’t for the name, and for that I hate you” His eyes glow as another crack of lightening fills the sky.
    “Edon dear” My mother says keeping her voice as low as she can. Turning back around to her, I nod that I have heard her.
    “Heed my words, now is the time” She shoves me out from under the umbrella, as I look to John.
    “Mother?”

    “Do as you are told child, or risk loosing everything” Her stern face, isn’t giving me anything. My head turns to Salim, who is trying his very best to get back up, while Travis and Rein are fighting. Wolf echoes in my head, begging me to go to him. Letting my feet hit the muddy earth, it sprays dirt all over my blue jeans. Dropping to my knees I hold his head, his eyes are pale along with his coat. The blood has already spread to the grass around him, he’s cold to my touch which only seemed to crack me more.

    “Salim, its alright” He whines, protesting my words. Pushing my face into his neck, I smell him. His wonderful smell is fading away faster then I can count, only to leave my side and never return. Soaking the fur on his neck, my tears aren’t stopping not for anyone.
    “Edon now” My mother growls, as the wind shifts heading to me. Lifting my head I see her mouth, as she bites down hard on her own teeth. Fluttering the water off my lashes, I remember our little talk in this exact field.


***Yesterday Talk with Mother***


Standing in the field with mother, as she takes in a long breath. Her eyes are closed, while she quietly hums a soft tune. One I have heard many times, as a child. Its melody is soft and sweet, like her at times.
    “Mother?” Hoping she’ll get to her point. Her eyes open showing me more of her then ever before.
    “Edon my dear, I think its high time we talked about Salim” Biting my lip, I fear my father has gotten to her as well. He has convinced my mother Salim is not good for me, and she will try her damn nest to make me see their light.
    “Mother I love Salim”

    “Yes dear I already knew that.” Sighing she takes my hands in hers.
    “I am not going to tell you not to love the man, nor will I tell you to leave his side. But I choose Salim for a reason, not just to protect you from his brother” My ears twitch with the newest of news as I cock my head to the side.

    “Salim is very unique he is unlike any other wolf male I have seen, he was adopted as a small pup and raised well. But his real parents aren’t like other wolves” She gives me time to think her words over, as I nod letting her go on.
    “What is Salim mother?”
    “He is a full blooded Alpha Edon” My eyes roll.
    “Mother I already knew that”
    “No dear, you don’t. Salim is in fact an Alpha, but both his parents were Alpha’s. So he is the same rank as your father” The air to my lungs ceases no more, as I stair at her likes she’s lost of F*ing mind.

    “Mother..I”
    “Edon, a long time ago a pair of Alpha’s were mated. They wanted a strong pack, but they were two strong headed for each other. Before they were attacked a baby boy was born, his mother handed him off to her nurse before returning to battle. That baby is Salim”

A gust of wind grabs my pony, before dropping it back down again. Every word she has spoken, replays again and again. Is she messing with me, or just gone bat crazy? Squeezing my hands, she smiles reassuring me.
    “How do you know this?” Her face seems to of taken a turn for the worst.
    “Because dear, your father is the one who attacked his parents” My hands retract at the suddenness of what she is implying.

    “Father….killed his parents?” I almost loose myself control.
    “Your father was afraid that a new Monarch would a rise, before his rein was over with. He felt the need to stop them, but he still failed. Loosing the baby was a hard blow to him, he searched everywhere for the child.”
    “And where were you during all of this” Growling out for Salim.
    “I left him, I didn’t approve of his choose and wanted to spare you the shame. You were just a new born, a little younger the Salim himself”

    “Why….why didn’t you tell me all of this?” He hand softly strokes my cheek.
    “Oh Edon, please forgive me. I wanted to make sure I was right, before I started making inquisitions.” Nodding I bow my head, as a single tear falls.
    “What now, he’ll flip shit when he finds out…..does father know” My head shoots up.
    “No dear, your father gave up a long time ago trying to find Salim. I’m sure he hasn’t a clue who the man is. And yes I do believe Salim will how you say, flip shit once he knows. But you need to think about another issue at hand”
    “What?”
    “Your match, you need Salim to win.”
    “That’s not up to me”

    “Yes it is, you’re the Monarch’s daughter. Your powers are the same as his, with a single bite you can reopen Salim’s Alpha powers. Right now he old contains half of what he should, it’s the main reason your father hasn’t thought him to be the missing baby.”
Looking over the ground, I chew my lip.
    “Bite him?”
    “Yes, your bite is a tool to open the mind. If you were to bite Salim with the intent to save his life, his Alpha would respond to you. You are after all his love, his mate. If the Alpha part of him thought that you were in danger, he would awaken to protect you”

    “But I’m not in any danger.” Frowning, cause this doesn’t make any blood sense.
    “Edon, pay close attention I can only say this once. When a male is beaten and down he is at his most vulnerable, his weakest state. This means he cannot protect his mate, which above all is the highest priority to a male…special an Alpha. An Alpha has the most drive to being in charge, but his protection towards his mate is his first and foremost objective. He would watch his entire pack being slaughtered as long as his mate were safe, do you understand what that means?”
    “Are you telling me Salim would die for me, before he’d give up?”

    “Yes that is exactly what I am saying, the man has already excepted you are his. He wont stop till he can’t bleed anymore, this is when you step in. Once you bite him, you have given him the keys to awaken his full potential. Should you choose to stay beside him, once he is bitten he will change. He will become head strong, and ruthless. You may not like the outcome, but he will protect you save you from the other Alpha’s. Its your choice.”

    “He’ll be different, so he wont be the same Salim I’m use to?”
    “Not really, he will turn into a full blooded Alpha. Which means all those little pranks and comments you were shooting at him before, will not be tolerated. He will demand your respect, and will not see fit to give you any in return should he decide to keep you”

I felt my world stop, as the thought of Salim not wanting me anymore sank in hard. It was true though, he’d want to know what was happening to him. And once he found out about what my father did, why would he want that mans daughter.
   
    “I understand mother”  As she holds off from asking if I am okay, I walked away heading into the woods.




***Back to Present***

Holding Salim as the rain continues to pour, the thunder now right above me. Turning from mother, I look at him. His eyes barely open, I nod.
    “Salim, please forgive me I never knew” Extending my canines, I lower my head to his neck. Pushing past his thick red fur, I bite down hard. He yelps before I feel the blood stain my fangs, the power its giving off has me pulling out. His eyes go stark white, before quickly changing to black. The body of him heels his wounds, as he grows bigger then the other Alpha’s. Paws the size of my face, retract thick black claws. Digging into the dirt, before he lifts himself up. Those white fangs snarls at me, as he scans my body.

    “Salim” It comes out barely a whisper, as he lowers his head. Stepping around me, he lunges for the two Alpha’s. The sheer size of him is easily double theirs, as he takes them by surprise. Grabbing Rein by the back of the neck, tossing his rag doll of a body into a tree. Its braches snap falling to the earth like falling arrows. Growling at Travis, pinning him to the wet ground, before the earth shattering crack of his ribs break under Salim’s paw. Howling out he steps away, returning to me. Snorting I get up, my close soaked through.

    Shifting back he has be walking behind him, the change is already complete. He known’s more now, as he nears my father snarling at him the whole way. Mother gives me a pained look, as Salim grabs my father by the throat.

“YOU!” His eyes black with anger, as father gasps for air.
    “Salim” Grabbing his arm, his eyes turn deadly at me.
    “YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS” Roaring in my face. Shaking my wet hair, I pleased with him.
    “No I didn’t”

    “LIES!” Flinging my father threw the door, into the house.
    “I swear I didn’t know”
    “DON’T LIE TO ME, YOUR THAT BASTARDS OFFSPRING. OF COURSE YOU KNEW!” He’s pinned me to the wall of the house, scaring me more and more.
    “Salim please. I only found out yesterday” Shaking the water off my lashes.
    “THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YESTERDAY?” Grabbing my throat, his hand threatens to chock me out.

    “Because, I couldn’t” Gripping his forearm. He snarls, showing off the many dangerous teeth.
    “YOU’RE NOTHING BUT A USER. YOU USED ME TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLES, SO YOU WOULDN’T HAVE TO BE DADDY’S LITTLE PET. YOU MAKE ME SICK!” His lip quivers. Shaking my head I beg without words, but he isn’t done insulting me.

    “YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME, I WOULD SOONER MATE WITH A WHORE THEN THE LIKES OF YOU. YOU’VE GOT WHAT YOU’VE WANTED, NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT” Tossing me to the ground. Pushing up with one hand, I watch as he grabs my father once more. His words are filled with pain, he’s lost his family because of my father. I knew he would be angry, I just didn’t think he’d forget about me. Mother is being held by John, as he leads her away from the pain my father is going through.

    Salim is sparing my life, because I was to small. But he doesn’t want me anymore, that much is clear. Getting to my feet I walk slowly, the pain wolf is going through is just a small reminder of the last time. He took my heart and broke it into many pieces, now Salim has done the same thing…only this is worse. Passing the Alpha’s they look gray at me, Rein goes to say something but I just can’t. Shifting my clothes tare before I dart into the thick woods.
    The further I get from here the better, pushing my feet to quicken in the slippery mud. The wetness that pours down my fur face, isn’t from the rain. Wolf has never shown tears before, she loves him as I do. Fast I run weighed down by the med and water, that clings to my coat.

~Salim~

My body as opened, I can see, hear, feel, and taste ten times better. Memories of my past flood into my head, little by little. As I fight the Alpha’s, I made a promise to Edon I intend to keep. The memory of her father killing my parents, is so vivid I feel like I am their. Howling out in pain, for the lost of the only blood family I once had. Revenge is mine to have, Edon quickly follows though I could careless at this point. Her father is my target, I shall have his blood.

    She begs me to spare such a horrible man, my rage turns to her. The words I spit at her, cause her face to pale. Everything seems to be happening so fast, as I grab her throat between my fingers. Pleading with me, only seems to annoy me further.

    “YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME, I WOULD SOONER MATE WITH A WHORE THEN THE LIKES OF YOU. YOU’VE GOT WHAT YOU’VE WANTED, NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT” Tossing her small body to the soaked ground, as mud covers her face and arms. I haven’t the time to deal with her, the Monarch needs to be taught what he has yet to learn. Grabbing his throat, shaking him violently. I can see John and her mother leaving, wise decision.

    Snapping his arm, the scream he gives off has me hissing for more.
    “YOU KILLED MY FAMILY, WHY?” Pushing him into the closest wall.
    “They were to strong, you weren’t suppose to be born.” HE coughs out.
    “WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO DECIDE LIFE?” Shaking more of him.
    “Its not right, there should only be one full Alpha” Blood spits from his mouth.
    “FILTH IS WHAT YOU ARE” Sneering at his face.

    “Please take the house, my money anything you want. My daughter is yours” His groveling is disgusting, he no more deserves his title then he does his life.
    “I DO NOT NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO HAVE ANYTHING, ESPEICALLY YOUR DAUGH…..” My eyes go to where Edon was, to find the muddy spot empty. Quickly I scan the area, looking for her anywhere.   

    “Edon” Turning all the way around, while I hold her father.
    “She’s gone Alpha” John says, from the front door. Flinging the Monarch to the floor, he hits his head on something rending him out cold.
    “WHERE IS SHE?” John holds his ground.
    “I don’t know, I was busy tending to her mother while you were in your rage.” Folding his arms. He isn’t scared of me, or is covering it up.
    “YOU KNOW WHERE SHE IS” Hissing at him, his head shakes.
    “No not this time, she’s masked her scent and the rain has covered her tracks. She’s gone, you wont find her” His words crack me, as I grip my head.
    “SHE’S MINE”
    “No you made it pretty clear you didn’t want her, or did you forget the words you said to her…only moments ago”

No I remember them, but I was angry and hurt. She was there, and I just let them come out.
   
    “Stay away from her Alpha, she doesn’t need to be hurt for a third time. The girls had enough pain to last a lifetime” My eyes shoot to his, third time?
    “What happen to her?” My shoulders sag from the weight of everything, as my body grow tired. Huffing at me, he rolls his eyes.

    “As if it really matters” I give him a nasty look, which he sighs over.
    “Fine whatever. A long time ago Edon fell in love, she gave that man everything. Wanted to start a family with him, he ended up betraying her. Beating her to a bloody mess, calling her every foul name imaginable, one being Whore. She snapped, couldn’t handle the rejection. That is till you came along, but you’ve shown just how loving you can be.” Turning on his heels, he walks out. Stepping out the door, I watch him open a car door where her mother is seated in the passenger seat.

    “John where is she?” He growls, snapping his head around.
    “I told you, I don’t fucking know. And even if I did I wouldn’t tell you. Here you want her back, this is all I have. You should check the last video” Tossing me a cell phone. With that he closes the door, leaving me to stand in the door way with rain coming down. As the red taillights fade away, I flip the cell open. Going to the videos, clicking on the only one. It starts out fuzzy, with her voice in the background.
