I turn in the bounty for Krubis and Gene reveals information on the next G3 officer.

Gene: Kid, I know you just had a trek to Zypher and fought Krubis. But do you think you can take on another bounty?

Lucy: Already? He just got back, he needs a break.

Gene: But an opportunity rose up and we can't miss out on it.

Y/N: What is it?

Gene: The next bounty, Douglas, went wild at a party on Port Terrene. He's got to be having a massive hangover, so his chances of fighting properly are very slim. This could be a chance for a quick and easy bounty.

Y/N: Very well. You guys ready:

Kenny: Good to go.

Gus: Don't have to ask me twice.

Knifey: More guys to stab!

Scarlet: (Groans) Let's just get this over with. I've been denied the chance to see Gene killed.

Yuri: Stay safe big brother.

Gene: Don't worry Yuri. If your brother can survive an invasion and take down a G3 officer, he can handle anything.

Lucy: I'm going to get my stuff and punch my landlord in the face. You better be back if you don't want me to kill Gene

A sweat drops down Gene's face.

I go to the Bounty 5000 and select the Douglas bounty. The Gateway opens and I go through it. We end up in a town that looks a lot like a Wild West settlement.

Y/N: Perfect setting for a bounty hunter.

Scarlet: Till we go down.

Y/N: Huh?

Scarlet: Douglas is in Dreg town. A city built under this asteroid. And the G3 has a strong presence here due to this place housing their main training facility. Looking at the gatekeeper's profile, we're going to have to get rid of the G3 in this town if we want access to it.

Y/N pulls out Kenny and Gus and cocks them.

Y/N: Then let's get to work.

Knifey: Fucking finally! Let's do this! FOR BLOOD! And also for your sister's safety and happiness.

Scarlet: I found the locations of the G3 soldiers causing commotion in Old Town.

Y/N: Let's do this!

The four of us went around the settlement, taking out any G3 soldier. We even went to a bar and I was offered a free drink for killing a harasser. I found out hooch is an acquired taste. After cleaning up the G3 dregs, we go to the entrance to Dreg Town.

Gatekeeper: Wow, you killed those G3 guys. You have no idea how many times I keep telling them to stop or they'll get killed by a proper law-abiding citizen. That fact that you killed them before talking to me is pretty funny. It's almost as if you read my profile and saw that I listed that I'd open the door for whoever kills the G3. But there's no way that's possible. Head on through, elevator will take you to Dreg Town.

Y/N: Thanks.

I go through the lobby and see multiple people waiting for access to Dreg town. I get on an elevator and it starts moving. I then see an Ad playing.

Douglas: Are you looking for glory? Then join the G3 Cartel! My name's Douglas, the G3 Chief of Training and Torture. Ignore that second bit, this ad's just about the training.

Gus: Whoa! That was Douglas! And you see what he was holding.

Kenny: Yeah, that was a Gatlian. We gotta help them.

Scarlet: I located Douglas' office, but we have to go through the training facility to get there.

Y/N: Alright guys. put your G3 faces on.

We make our way through Dreg town and find the G3 training facility. But we find a sign that says "Gooped G3 recruits only".

Y/N: Where the hell are we gonna get goop? Every canister I touch gets converted into my shield.

Scarlet: I'm detecting someone watching us. They're right behind.

I look behind and see a small purple alien wearing only a cloak and underwear. He gestured for us to go into the alley and we follow him.

???: Hey, you there. I'm the goop guy around these parts. You want to get into G3 facility, you gotta get covered in Goop. That's just how it goes My stuff's quality! What do ya say?

Scarlet: I don't see any other way to get to Douglas. Accepting is our only option.

Y/N: Yes. Give us Goop.

Goop guy: Perfect. Just head down that alley and let the magic happen. And don't worry, first goops on me.

I turn and see a cage with a large Furgle sitting on it.

Kenny: Oh god!

Y/N: Let's just get this over with.

I step inside and the large Furgle "Goops" us.

Kenny: OH! OH! OH MY GOD THE SMELL! OH MY GOD, I'M GONNA FUCKING THROW UP!!!!

Gus: I'm not one to shame people. But that's just disgusting.

Scarlet: Sucks to me you guys.

Y/N: Let's join the G3 and kill Douglas.

We entered the G3 recruitment center and after a Gretin explained the details of being in the G3, we took a seat and a Douglas video gave a heads-up about entering a deadly training arena. I killed the Mytes and Greebles and made my way through an electrified death maze. I found a vent in the next room to make it faster to get to the rest of the course. I use Knifey to zip along the wires leading to the next area. The speed of the zip-lining causes the Goop to wear off.

Y/N: Goops worn off, but no big deal. It's done its job.

We land in front of a pipe and see a small, octopoid-like alien emerging from it.

???: Oh my god! Hello! Thank god you're here! My name is Doctor Joopey! Douglas kidnapped my family and I'm trying to sneak in and save them! But I just can't get through these pipes in the next room! Oh my god, I'm freaking out!

Y/N: Hey no worries. We're here to help.

Dr. Joopey: You'll really help me? Thank you so much. Follow me.

Dr. Joopey goes into the pipes and we enter the room they lead into.

Dr. Joopey: I need you to align those pipes so I can get into the one leading out of the room. It's the only way to sneak in and save my family.

Y/N: Ready Kenny?

Kenny: I'm all fired up!

I shoot Kenny at the pipes to align the pipes correctly. Dr. Joopey crawls through them and comes out of the hatch.

Dr. Joopey: Wow, you did it! You got the door open!

Gus: Don't mention it.

Kenny: Happy to help.

Dr. Joopey: Did you say you're heading to find Douglas too? His off is that big building on top of Dreg Town. There's a zipline just past here that will take you right to him!

Dr. Joopey enters the pipes again and the door unlocks

Gus: That wasn't so bad. I like the guy.

Kenny: I hope he finds his family.

Scarlet: Something about him looks familiar. Let me run through my memory banks.

Gus: Do it fast, 'cause there's no doubt we're gonna run into things that require a lot of techno-babble.

I use Knifey to zip across the line head for Douglas' office. Unfortunately, there are panels in the way.

Y/N: Sky block!

Kenny: OH FUCK!

I untether Knifey from the line and fall into the arena. There are multiple G3 soldiers waiting for something. Douglas' voice plays for the arena.

Douglas: Congratulations to all of you worms who made it this far in training. It is now time for the final test: a bloody free-for-all! Last one standing gets to join the G3! No rules, just killing! Good luck Shit-heels!

Gus: Looks like we don't have a choice.

Kenny: Let's get to killing.

I cock Gus and feed him Gaterall.

Y/N: Killing time!

I fire Gus at one of the G3 soldiers and blast their torso off. I then use Gus' trick hole to shoot a metal disk that bounces off multiple G3 soldiers. It comes back and I use Knifey to flick the disk at the G3 again. The Disk slices through them this time and causes the bodies to spray blood over the ground. Drones appear and I use Kenny to blast them out of the air.

Suddenly, spotlights aim at the center platform, and a massive alien appears with a huge Gatlian.

Y/N: Look at the size of that thing.

Knifey: The bigger they are, the more they bleed!

I fire Gus to weaken the "Hurk" and remove most of its Goop. I then fired Kenny several times and used his Glob Shot to make the Hurk dazed. I then plunge Knifey into its head and cause blood to spray out of it. The Hurk flails around until it drops dead.

Y/N: Looks like we passed guess.

Scarlet: A triple plus!

Douglas: Congratulations graduates on joining the G3 or whatever. I really can't stress enough on how LITTLE I give a shit. Now report to your commanding officer and we'll send you off to die fighting for us on whatever dumbass planet we decide. See ya.

The gate opens and I collect the warp crystal that was in a console. I've been collecting them from whatever warp base comes my way. We continue our way to find Douglas.

Back in Blim City, Nova Sanctus

NO POV:

Lucy is moving into Y/N and Yuri's house. She moves into the guest room since she doesn't want to take over what she assumes is their parent's room. Yuri is excited at someone moving in.

Yuri: It's really nice to have another person living with us. Now we have Gene and you.

Lucy: You shouldn't be excited about Gene. Trust me when I say you shouldn't feel anything for him.

Yuri: But me and Big Brother want to help. Both him and our species.

Lucy: I know, and Gene saw a chance to freeload. Just keep your eyes open for if he tries anything.

Gene: I'm right here you know.

Lucy: I'm aware.

Gene: Could you not say that so calmly?

Lucy gives Gene a death glare.

Gene: I'll just stop talking.

Yuri: So, I'll acknowledge that things didn't end well between you two. But we need Gene's help and it would be great to have more allies for this. So can you please tone the disliking down to a high seven?

Lucy: Low nine. And that's as far as I'll go.

Gene (Thoughts): Knowing you I'll take that amount.

Lucy: Are you thinking?

Back at Dreg Town, Port Terrene

Y/N POV:

We help Dr. Joopey go through the next pipe puzzle and were getting closer to Douglas' office. But there's something strange about Douglas. I've never seen any other aliens with tentacles and "Dr. Joopey" kept re-arranging his supposed kids names.

Scarlet: Y/N! I figured it out. The voice that was talking were pre-recordings and I found schematics for a species Douglas' suit was built for.

Scarlet pulls up the schematics of Douglas' suit and it was made for octopoid-like creatures.

Y/N: Thanks Scarlet.

Scarlet: You're welcome. You are leagues better than Gene.

We had to fight our way through a bunch of G3 sucks. I had Kenny to hit their faces and used Gus to blow them apart. Gus' vacuum ability came in handy for pulling in G3s. A Merk throws a grenade and I use Knifey to deflect it back at them. The greande explodes and kills the G3 surrounding the merk. A cyclopes charges but I stab knifey into its eye and pull it out. Blood jets out of it and it flails around in pain.

Knifey: "Eye" can see you!

I use Gus to put the thing out of it's misery. We then made our way through the lines up to Douglas' office.

Gus: Y/N. Don't tell me you don't find Dr. Joopey suspicious.

Kenny: There's no way. You saw him, he's defenseless.

Y/N: You know power armor exists for a reason right?

Gus: BINGO!

Kenny: Oh god.

Scarlet: Just pretend you don't suspect anything the next time we see him.

We finally arrive at Douglas' office and come across "Dr. Joopey" again.

Dr Joopey: Oh thank god! I need you guys to-

Y/N: Connect the pipes so you can cross them.

Dr. Joopey: Exactly. Pleas help me.

Y/N: Alright. Alright.

I use Kenny to align the pipe properly and "Dr. Joopey" stops at the one mid way.

Dr. Joopey: Yes! Your halfway there! Keep going!

Y/N: Sure thing.

I pulls Gus out and fire him at "Dr. Joopey", causing him to reveal his voice.

Dr. Joopey: AAAAAAAHHHHHHH

Y/N: Douglas.

Douglas enters the pipe and I hit the pipe that would finish the connection to the office. I wasn't about to struggle getting my bounty out of the pipes.

Douglas: DAMMIT! I can't believe you figured me out!

Y/N: Here we come Motherfucker!

We stop at the office door and it opens to reveal a large torture chamber. I realize we will truly be doing the galaxy a huge favor by killing Douglas.

Douglas: You're the ones that killed Krubis. (Pant... Pant...) I ain't going down without a fight!

Douglas Suit AI: Critical Douglas detected. Auto-pilot assistance intiatied. Entering Chaos mode.

Y/N: Let's do this thing guys!

I rush at Douglas as he begins firing his Gatlian at me. I dodge the shots and Douglas jumped out of the way and onto a pillar.

Douglas: The fuck you all waiting for! Kill that son of a bitch!

Merk: You heard him! Kill the bounty hunter!

Douglas: Take this!

Douglas shot some sort of time bubble that ended up hitting the Merks.

Doulgas: DAMMIT!!!!

I use Kenny's Glob Shot to blow the Merks.

Douglas: Switch to full auto-pilot! Initated nerve synchronization!

Douglas Suit: Roger!

Douglas made jumps around and kept firing his Gatlian:

Douglas: You picked the wrong drug cartel to fuck with, Bounty Hunter!

Gus: Shut up!

Kenny: This chapter only ends when you're dead, Bitch!

I fire Kenny at Douglas and hit him. I use Gus' Trick Hole to fire a disk at Douglas and cracks his visor. Douglas then jumps as the floor becomes electrified.

Y/N: Scarlet!

Scarlet: On it!

Douglas jumps a few times and eventually lands on the ground. Douglas fires but I dodge and his suit starts locking up.

Douglas Suit: Error. Error. Suit hacked by outside presence.

Douglas: What the!?!?

Scarlet: Anyone up for grilled Calamari

The floor under Douglas becomes electric and electrocutes him. The voltage causes his suit to spark and explode.

Douglas: Dammit! I can't believe you beat me!

Douglas falls out of his suit and lies dead on the floor.

Kenny: We did it!

Gus: Yeah baby!

Scarlet: Knifey, you primed and ready?

Knifey: Always!

I plunge Knifey into Douglas and collect a piece of his tentacle.

Knifey: Ahh, fuck yeah! That's definitely the stuff! That felt good! He had some very nice, choppable flesh, actually. It was actually very nice.

I see the Gatlian Douglas was using and see she was mostly unharmed, except for the inhibitor chip stuck in her.

Y/N: Thank god Douglas was holding her with rubbered tentacles.

Scarlet: Yeah, we lucked out on that one.

I pick up the Gatlian and pull the inhibitor chip out.

???: Alright dipshit. Let's go.

Y/N: You got a name, or should I call you Ms. Gatlian the whole time.

???: The name's Sweezy. Use my Time Bubble on the fan. That'll lead us out of here.

I fire Sweezy's time bubble on the fan and cause it to slow down. I got through the turbines and end up in Douglas' office. I walk in front of Douglas' terminal and a message from Garmantuous plays. Garmantuous is saying that he needs Douglas on top of his game since the G3 is spread thin on Earth and to handle the skyrocketing demand for humans all over the galaxy. My blood boils with rage and I fire Sweezy at the terminal.

Scarlet: Don't worry Y/N.

Gus: Yeah, cause we're going to stop them.

Kenny: Let's head home and figure out our next move.

Sweezy: If your taking on the G3 to save your planet and species, count me in.

I notice a picture of Douglas with an aged alien that the Scarlet and the Gatlians identify as Dr. Gurgula, the scientist responsible for developing Translator Microbes. Why the hell is that guy getting involved with the G3 Cartel? We leave the office and return to Dreg Town.

Scarlet: Let's head home.

Y/N: On it.

Scarlet: That's my line.

I punch in the return code on my warp device and open a gateway back home. I go through it and see Gene, Lucy, and Yuri sitting down.

Yuri: Big brother, you're back!

Y/N: Don't hug me yet Yuri. I need to give this suit a thorough deconaminating.

Gene: Ehh, just hose the thing down. Boom, problem solved.

Lucy: You took down not just Krubis, but Douglas too? I have to say I'm very impressed.

Gene: Another one down! See, I told you he had it in him. Turn in that bounty, there's something you need to see.

Lucy: What'd you do Gene?

Gene: Nothing. It's been all over the headlines on TV. Just wait and see.

I put Douglas' tentacle into the Bounty 5k and receive my payment

Gene: Take a seat and check this out

I sit next to Lucy and Gene turns on the TV. Clugg Nugmin is on TV and giving a statement.

Clugg: Hello, my Blim City Citizens.

Gene: That's Clug Nuggmin. Blim City Magistrate and shoo-in for Mayor. He's also a current Candidate for the open seat on the Galactic Union Council. In other words, he's a big deal.

Clugg: As you all know, I'm working hard to flush out all the crime and drugs from our streets. I'll be the first to admit we haven't made much headway in the fight against the G3 Cartel.

Gene: Alright, alright. Now catch this next bit.

Clugg: But that's all about to change. We've learned of a bold bounty hunter who's been bravely taking this G3 matter into his own hands.

Yuri has stars in her eyes as she knows who Clugg's talking about.

Yuri: He's talking about you big brother!

Clugg; Incredibly, he's already dealt with two of the cartel's most powerful officer.

Gene: Told ya the kids a natural.

Lucy just rolls her eyes at the statement.

Clugg: I am not too proud to ask for help in our war on drugs. Bounty Hunter, if you're listening: please consider joining forces with the good people of Blim City. I hope you'll choose to come forward and meet with me personally at my office at city hall.

Lucy swipes the remote and turns off the TV

Sweezy: Geez, desperate much?

Lucy: Don't take an offer you don't know the terms Y/N.

Gene: Um... I already told him you could go.

Lucy gives a death glare at Gene.

Gene: Don't start. He's legit. You know just as much as I do that he's been anti-G3 even before he became a candidate for the GU Council.

Y/N: If he wants to meet with me then let's get to it.

Gene: Just head through there. Clugg's expecting ya.

I go through the gateway and enter Clugg's office

Clugg: Thank you so much for coming, Bounty Hunter.

Y/N: Well I guess it was about time we met face to face.

Clugg: Look, I'll cut to the chase. I need your help. You're a human, correct? My men looked into it, sorry. You survived the G3's attack on your home planet, Earth, right?

Y/N: Yes. Same for the Gatlians that are partnered up with me.

Clugg: I am familiar with their plight as well. It's such a tragedy what happened on Gatlus. It makes sense that you and them would join forces. But perhaps you have room for one more ally, as well?

Y/N: What's the catch?

Clugg: No catch. I need your help. I'm having the darndest time curbing the species-drug trade. I can only do so much and only within the confines of the law. I mean, I've got my hands full with Gary the Posioner. He's not just poisoning the water supply. He's moved onto posioning weider stuff now, like streetlamps.

Y/N: I'm not even going to ask about that.

Clugg: But you've taken out two top ranked G3 officers in less time than it takes us to file a single report. So you see how you can help me. But there's also one way I can help you.

Y/N: How?

Clugg points to a device on his desk.

Clugg: This tool on my desk here will help you rescue your fellow humans. You can use it to teleport them to a safe haven my team has arranged for them to stay until the G3 are dealt with. Your people won't be captured and consumed by drug addicts and no one can just snatched them up on the street. Two birds, one stone.

I grab the device and attach it to my Warp Device.

Y/N: If this helps us stop the G3, then fine by me.

Clugg: Thank you. Sincerely. You humans and Gatlians are both very noble species. This means a lot to me. I've made it my life's work to use my power to help people in need, but evem I have my limits. I'm just glad I have someone like you to turn to. As a token of thanks, my team will be feding any intel we find on the G3 directly to your handler, Mr. Zaroothian, We've already sent him everything we had. The rest is in your hands.

Y/N: Fine by me. Well, we better get home.

Clugg: Good luck, Bounty Hunter.

I go back through the gateway and return home.

Scarlet: We're back.

Yuri: I'm glad you are. Gene got a message.

Gene: Yeah. It said they'll hook us up with any G3 intel they find.

Kenny: Along with a device that we can use to save any humans we come across.

Yuri: So we can help more people?

Y/N: Absolutely.

Lucy: That's great. But it's starting to get late, and you should gets some rest. You've been to two planets in one day, and Warp Lag won't do you any favors. Just go to sleep and I'll start teaching you some of my skills. You're going to need all they help you can get taking on the G3.

Y/N: I will.

Yuri: I'm going to bed too. Night everyone.

Me and Yuri go to our rooms as I take of my Bounty Suit and put it in my laundry bin. I place the Gatlians, Knifey, and my helmet on my dresser before I lay down and fall asleep.
