~Turtle's POV:

"My one true love,"  I whispered to the coral, "take me to the dragon that is my soulmate."

(Some time passes)

The coral tugged me towards two dragons who were taking shape as I approached: one with brown scales and the other... pink and yellow.  My heart caught in my throat as I recognized Kinkajou.  Is she my one true love?  Does she love me after all?  

I landed and started to walk towards Kinkajou and the dragon next to her who I noticed was Umber, one of my best friends.  I was only a few steps from Kinkajou when the coral jerked me to the side.   I was startled and almost dropped the coral.  My true love isn't Kinkajou?  

Before I fully understood what had happened, I felt the coral bump against scales and it stopped pulling me towards its target.  I looked up and saw deep brown eyes surrounded by scales the colour of chocolate.  This time, I was so shocked that I did drop the coral.  My true love is Umber!?

(Years later)

All my dragonethood I had dreamt of a life full of love, but I had imagined a life with Kinkajou, but now, I'm much happier than I could've imagined.  I never imagined a life with someone other than Kinkajou, let alone a life with Umber, but it worked out wonderfully!  My mother wasn't as surprised as I'd hoped her to be, but considering how her daughters' love lives turned out, it makes sense.  Tsunami married Webs' son, Anemone married a female, and Auklet turned out to be aro/ace.  And I ended up married to a male, the nicest, sweetest, dragon in the world.
