Rune lay by the lake waiting for Nightfall. While he waited he played around in the sand his golden claw glinted in the sunlight. Rune flicked his tail, flicking the sand everywhere, he'd never seen sand, at least that he could remember. "Eh," said a voice on the horizon,"you're no SeaWing!" Looking up, Rune saw the purplish blue SeaWing flying over to him. Nightfall landed on the sand her webbed feet setting comfortably on the sand this was her element well- one of them. Rune looked at her purple scales and SeaWing looked at him back. Nightfall looked at him her light blue eyes sparkling. "So what did you want to talk about?" Rune flicked his tail. "Nightfall I-" he was cut off by a loud screech, the they saw a earthy brown MudWing plummet out of sky, casting a worried glance at Nightfall he raced to the MudWing's aid but was struggling under the female dragon's weight, and Nightfall noticed this and came to help. Together the SkyWing and SeaWing brought the unconscious MudWing to shore. The MudWing, they realized, was more of a dark brown colour then earthy brown. The MudWing raised her head. "Where am I," she shrieked green eyes flickering everywhere,"what do you want from me?" Rune shot Nightfall a quick look. "You're on the territory between SeaWing and the Rainforest. Oh, and we're not going to hurt you." The MudWing's expression remained unmoved. "How do I know that? How do I know you're not one of Garnet's troops, sent to kill every dragon?" Both of the SeaWing and SkyWing's eyes widened, who was Garnet? And why did this MudWing fear it? Rune stepped forward. "Tell us who Garnet is-" he looked to Nightfall, her purple scales glistening in the dying sunlight "-and your name." The MudWing stood up. "Garnet is a SkyWing serial killer, the news, Copper and the female dragon he was sent with, had to give Auklet at the meeting-" Rune fumed,"Let me just stop you there, Sunset chose Copper over me? The squid brain." The MudWing ignored him and continued "-and Auklet was visibly upset and she ended the meeting there, not getting to the MudWing, RainWing or IceWing news. I wasn't at the meeting oh no! Another female went." Rune stood mouth opened, while his eye was twitching, while Nightfall said," that's enough news for now, you can tell us your name later."
The MudWing seemed relieved and settled on a rock not to far from Rune And Nightfall. Rune was still open mouthed, eye twitching but he managed to get out, "wha-a-a-a?" A SkyWing serial killer? That must not be good... Rune thought mind still wandering. The MudWing came up to them,"I guess you would like to know my name, I'm Marsh." Then the MudWing took off leaving them in peace. Rune and Nightfall watched the sunset together, but the thoughts kept racing in his head. A SkyWing serial killer? That must not be good....
