Marsh's POV

Marsh sat looking at a pool of mud thinking about her Queenship. How can I be a queen when I'm...nevermind.. She sighed and looked at the ground. "Marsh," a voice called. Marsh turned around hoping not to see a NightWing, especially one that could read minds, if that happened... She couldn't bear to think what the outcome would be. The voice, as it turned out, was not a NightWing but a MudWing maybe two or three years older than her. She half sighed and muttered,"Come..." The MudWing took a hint and edged forward, though cautious the MudWing appeared to be curious. Marsh looked at the ground again, and this urged the MudWing to speak. "Shouldn't you be thinking of someone to take as a mate?" It asked forcing Marsh to the brink of tears. They don't know... And I don't think they ever will... When she didn't answer the MudWing walked closer. "Marsh?" It called softly again. "Someone to take as a mate?" It pressed her on. There were tears in Marsh's eyes. "I haven't thought about it," she answered as steadily as she could. The MudWing's face grew contorted. "You really haven't?" It asked again, causing a few of Marsh's tears to fall. "It's..it's difficult for me," she answered brokenly. The MudWing's facial expression changed to one of concern. "It should be difficult... I mean... Silt handled it just fine... She had you," the MudWing's speech sounded broken like he was trying to remember things. The tears fell fast now, darkening the grass and dampening it throughly. "Not many fe- I mean MudWings like me..." She answered, her eyes burning. The MudWing gasped and he stumbled backward. Fearing the worst, Marsh looked at him and the MudWing spat confusedly,"Like you? How can no one like you? You're amazing!" Marsh almost smiled, but she still had that indescribable feeling that only she knew what it meant
