Chapter 7
"Greetings those from Pyrrhia! My name's Princess Honey!" The dragon greeted. Justice growled, and only stopped when Polar silenced them.
"Hi! I'm Prince Seaweed! You look like a bee, I don't like bees, butterflies are prettier!" Seaweed greeted. Polar seemed upset, and Justice could only snicker at Seaweed's comment.
Honey laughed. "We have butterfly dragons here too," She stated. Justice looked at Seaweed, and thought he was about to explode. His smile was so large, they thought they could see tears coming from his eyes.
Chicken calmed Seaweed.
"Greetings to you too. I am Polar, it is a pleasure to meet you." Polar greeted. Honey smiled, then waited for the others.
"I am Chicken, the adoptive mother of Seaweed." The mudwing told the hivewing.
Pigeon was hesitant at first, so Shadowsight spoke instead. "I'm Shadowsight, and this is Pigeon." He said, his tail pointing towards the skywing. Pigeon thanked the nightwing.
"Justice." Justice hissed. Snake had a similar response.
Honey frowned at their responses yet continued on. "Well, I assume you came here for a reason. Anything you need?" She asked. "Just looking around." Justice grumbled.
"I wanna see the butterfly dragons! Mom, can I see the butterfly dragons with Princess Honey? She seems nice, like a cool older sister!" Seaweed asked. Chicken nodded. Justice was intrigued, so they followed Seaweed and Honey.
The walk was surprisingly long. Justice had almost regretted coming. They reached a new giant hive-like structure and went inside. It was decorated from head-to-toe with fancy decorations.
A gorgeous silkwing flew down, their colorful wings contrasted with their black and orange body.
"Ooh! Visitors!" The dragon exclaimed, their eyes glittering.
Justice looked at Seaweed, who was silent for once. They then noticed the change in his posture. He seemed nervous.
Honey nodded. "Yep! Came all the way over from the other continent! Anyways, I'm off, you two have fun!" The Princess excused herself, then flew away.
Justice eyed the dragon carefully. "I'm Justice, that's Seaweed. If you try anything, you-" Justice caught sight of the dragon's necklace. There were some seashells on literal fire. Like, strung on.
Their scales shifted to red, and pale green, perhaps even orange. Seaweed was quick to say something, snapping Justice out of their thoughts. "So what's y-your name?" He asked quietly.
"Sunset! It's a pleasure to meet you, Seaweed." They greeted. Seaweed quickly nodded. Justice shifted their scales back to their usual colors.
"Dogwood would be so happy to meet you two! He's just the best! He's also my only friend, and he rather meet everyone who I talk to." Sunset stated, leading the two dragons away.
Justice felt something off about this 'Dogwood' dragon. Something was definitely off.
They went outside and flew into a cave. A pale green, white, and pink dragon was sitting there, his dark brown eyes stared into Justice's pale orange ones. Something seemed eerily familiar.
"Dogwood! This is Justice and Seaweed! Can they be our friends please?" Sunset asked. Dogwood stared at the Pyrrihan dragons for a bit longer. It was getting uncomfortable.
Justice heard Dogwood tap his talons against the stone beneath him. "... Please, tell me about your tribes." He said with a smile.
"It's fake." Justice thought. "Oh! I'm Seaweed, Prince of the seawings! We can communicate underwater using a really detailed language! We can also breathe underwater too! And Justice is a rainwing, they can go invisible and shoot a highly acidic venom that can destroy everything it touches!" Seaweed answered.
Justice internally face-palmed and sighed. Dogwood seemed to smile at the rainwing description, then his smile returned to his resting-bitch-face.
"I'd be fine with the rainwing as they seem... stalwart, as for the seawing, he seems too hyperactive, however he does seem... paramount?" Dogwood seemed to word his statement carefully.
Justice internally hissed. "Why did he use such odd words? Who gave him a dictionary? He almost seems more formal than Polar." Justice thought.
"So does that mean...?" Sunset asked the leafwing. Dogwood nodded. "They can be your friends- only if they can promise to never tell anyone about my existence, and location." Dogwood agreed. Sunset smiled, and immediately hugged Justice and Seaweed.
Justice groaned, not liking the contact, Seaweed however, seemed to be a flustered mess.
"Fine. We promise or whatever." Justice hissed.
"Lets go then! Bye Dogwood! We'll talk tomorrow!" Sunset exclaimed, dragging Justice and Seaweed out of the cave.
