Scorpion
Ugh! Blizzard's been gone for so long! Scorpion was pacing in circles. The beautiful Icewing he had fallen in love with had not returned, and he was scared out of his mind. Scorpion knew where Blizzard went and he knew how to get back to his home. I should go look for her. But what about Glass and Cloud? You can't leave them alone here! He thought. After a minute of thinking, he decided that he needed to leave. Blizzard was more important to him at this time. They swore an oath to protect what family they had, and that is what Scorpion was going to do.
"Glass, I'm going to go away for a while! Take care of Cloud please!" He waited for an answer, but he wanted to leave as soon as possible. He ducked through the broken door of the shelter and looked at his home. Scorpion expanded his wings and launched himself into the air. The familiar landscape below him was soothing, as if it wanted him to relax and not worry about anything. But he knew he couldn't. The love of his life might be in danger and he wanted to make sure his family was safe and complete. He landed near a random tree, and took a break. He was about to take off again, but he saw an out of place lump on the ground, just a few paces away. He cautiously stepped over to the lump and realized horribly, that this lump was a body. Scorpion recognized the silver and pale blue scales on this dragon, and let out a faint cry. "Blizzard?" He fell to the sand, beside his dead mate. "Who did this to you?!" He said aloud. The Sandwing heard a thump behind him and whirled to see what had made it. No. No, no, no! It can't be! "Mother?!" He cried. "It wasn't you! You couldn't do this! Not to me!" Scorpion glanced at Blizzard's dead body and was filled with a knowing rage. The female Sandwing behind him was his mother, Tarantula. Scorpion noticed the glint of blue blood on his mother's barbed tail. "Why?" He asked. "To get revenge? To prove that you are always right? To make me believe you? You are the most terrible dragon I know!! I will never believe you!! You are never right, and you will not treat me like a bug with no feelings!!" Scorpion used the last of his pulsing energy to get angry at his mother and he quickly realized: it was a big mistake.
"Grab him." Tarantula said and two burly Sandwing swooped down to grab Scorpion. As the Sandwings flew him higher into the air, his consciousness slipped away and all he could see was black. No!
