Glass
Glass blinked as some sand flew into her blind eyes. Her and Cloud had been traveling for days and Glass felt so exhausted that flopping over and sleeping for eternity felt like a great thing to do.
"Glass! Come over here!" She heard Cloud yell.
"Come over where?!" She hollered back. A second later, Glass felt a tug on her arm and heard an annoyed groan.
"Storm, this is Glass. Glass, meet Storm. He is a Rainwing Seawing hybrid. Would you like me to describe him to you?" Cloud exclaimed and Glass snorted. "Fine." She grumbled and waved at open air, hoping that her talons were waving in Storm's direction.
"Hi Glass." Said a soft voice. Glass suddenly felt very giddy. She wished to the moons that she could see this dragon and lucky for her, Cloud was describing him right away.
"He has the body of a Seawing but he can change his scales on command. When he doesn't want his scales to change he's a greenish brown colour, like kelp or seaweed. He has light blue eyes and some freckles. His wings are delicate like a Rainwing's and he still has those cool Seawing glow in the dark thingies. Sadly he has a boring Rainwing tail but it's very strong. He whipped me with it when I called it puny. Anything else you want to know?" Glass smiled imagining the dragon in front of her. "No, thanks Cloud." Said Glass.
For a while had Cloud been dragging Glass around the scorching hot desert. But this was feeling different. The sand beneath Glass's talons was soft and cool. It felt similar to water, the way the sand folded around her form.
"Glass and Cloud, I welcome you to our hybrid city, Tranquility. If you ever need anything, come see me." Said Storm in the calm voice that had stunned Glass the first time.
"Thanks!" Cloud exclaimed, and dragged Glass somewhere. Probably following Storm .......
.... yep.
"This is where you'll be staying, you may chose a room. You may eventually get a roommate or two, but for now relax and enjoy your stay."
Glass heard the squish of the sand being disturbed.
"Oh and meet some other hybrids. Maybe you could spend some time with them." Said Storm's voice.
Glass was sort of looking forward to staying in a room with nothing to knock over, but then again, Glass could not look at anything.
A friend would be a good thing to have. I mean Cloud has gotten used to taking care of me, but I need to know what others are like.
And with that thought wedged into her brain, Glass was dragged away.
