Chapter 2

Blue 

It had been a week filled with laughter and fun since they had received the invite to attend Jade Academy, they had all been super excited (even Sundew even if she tried not to show it)  they were all allowed one carry one and one personal item Blue had packed only clothing in the suitcase and his phone, lab top, earbuds, a few books, credit card, scrapbook, pictures, and school stuff in a small duffel bag, where as Cricket had put all her school stuff and clothes in her suit case and in her backpack she had packed her phone, lab top, earbuds, pictures, a bunch of books, credit card, jars of seeds and plants that Sundew had helped her collect, tweezers, a bunch of other tools, and a scrapbook, Swordtail had brought a big duffel bag as his carry on with just clothes in it, and a computer bag with school stuff,his phone, lab top, earbuds, credit card, and school stuff, Luna and Willow packed the same way, suit cases as carry ones, big purses as personal items, clothes and school stuff in the suitcases and makeup, lad tops, phones, and earbuds in their big purses, Sundew's packing was the weirdest, she put all her clothes and school stuff in her carry on a duffel bag, and her personal item was a vest that turned into a bag and it had all sorts of creepy sounds coming from it. 

"Malachite wakes up so early for work!" Katydid exclaimed," I had to wake up at like 4:00 AM this morning to drop him off so I could drive you all! I had no idea he had to wake up that early!" Cricket's mom was driving them cause they owned a minivan with eight seats so all of them could fit, Sundew was riding shotgun, him and Cricket behind them, and Luna, Swordtail, and Willow stuffed in the back.

"Yeah I'm glad I don't have to wake up that early to get dropped off at school anymore!" Cricket agreed.

"Well if you did you wouldn't ever be late for school." Blue said.

"I guess but I don't think that would be worth it." She replied.

"Me either!" Exclaimed Swordtail.

"Agreed!" Sundew said from the front seat.

"Uh-huh!" Agreed Willow from the back seat.

"I agree with Cricket I could never wake up that early!" Luna exclaimed.

"I never said it would be worth it I was just trying to find a upside." Blue argued.

"Okay, but it would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be worth it!" Cricket said.

"Alright we're here! Is it okay if I drop you off at the entrance or do you want me to walk you in?" Katydid asked.

"It's okay we'll be fine." Cricket answered.

"Okay." Katydid smiled, she pulled up to the entrance and opened the trunk and helped everyone get their stuff out, then pulled Cricket in for a giant bear hug and kissed her on the forehead.

"Mom!" Cricket half laughed half complained we all walked away towards the entrance. "Bye Mom!" Cricket yelled as she drove away.

They entered the Airport it was busy mostly with kids their age saying goodbye to their parents probably going to Jade Academy too, they had all pulled their hoods up so they wouldn't get swarmed with people asking questions it had happened a few times when some of them had gone to new restaurants not owned by people they knew, and Cricket once had the worst of it when she and her family had come here to get on a plane to Jewel hive she hadn't had a hood or something that made her less recognizable and their were news reporters there cause there had been a accidental fire the day before, and was the first week of summer break so there were a lot of families and she had gotten swarmed with questions and people, she had missed her flight and they had to wait two hours for the next one. 

"Okay Cricket you go find out were we need to go and we'll wait here." Sundew ordered.

"Why me?" Cricket asked.

"Cause you're the responsible one." Sundew pointed out.

"Fair enough." Cricket sighed,"Blue can you wait in line with me please?" She asked.

"Sure!" I agreed excitedly. We went and waited in line it took a while to get to the front so we played chopsticks.

When we finally got to the front the lady (a HiveWing) with dark tan skin black hair with red and orange lines, and green eyes, smiled at them,"Hello kids were you of to?" she asked nicely.

"Jade Academy." Cricket answered politely.

"Wow really! You must be excited, I heard that the heroes of Pantala are going there!" She exclaimed.

"Really!" Cricket squeaked. Poor Cricket Blue thought.

"Yay hon, I don't think that they'll be on this flight thou, I remember the time the HiveWing girl Cricket Ink came here with her parents they were trying to get to Jewel hive and the poor girl got swarmed and missed her flight." She said,"Oh and Gate B 3, have a nice day."

"You too." Said Cricket ducking her head even lower.

"And thanks." Blue added doing the same. They practically ran back towards the others.

"Gate B 3, Come on!" Cricket said quickly the went to security without anything happening except a little girl with a long picture book about how the othermind was defeated and was talking to her mother about how her favorite character was Sundew witch made Sundew make her trying-not-to-make-a-face-face, nothing else happened in till they got to the gate, and that was when Cricket stopped.

"What is it?" Sundew asked annoyed.

"That's Bombardier He is the most pollen brained idiot smug face, he thinks I'm in love with him." Cricket said rolling her eyes and gesturing to the boy with black hair with read tips tan skin and red eyes. 

"Oh I remember he was one of the mind controlled HiveWings in the library when we were hiding behind the trap-door right?" He asked and she nodded.

"Jerk, want me to drop a mango on him?" Sundew asked.

"You have a mango!" Swordtail practicality yelled no one turned around though (luckily).

Sundew slapped herself in the face"It's a metaphorical mango idiot it's a expression," Sundew said.

"Do we just walk around him and his friends?" Luna asked gesturing to the small group of HiveWings around Bombardier.

"Yeah I guess it's pretty unlikely that they'll stop us." Cricket admitted. And they didn't well in till Sundew 'accidentally'  pushed Bombardier on to the floor.

"Ha! Watch it!" He yelled at us.

"Opps! Sorry." Sundew said in a voice that wasn't at all convincing, Bombardier glared at her.

"You should be more careful my dad's the pilot he might not let you on!" He said in a snooty voice.

"We will." Blue said and he and Cricket herded them all to seats in the corner a lot of people watched them they looked from them to Bombardier who was back to talking with his friends. 

Then a HiveWing girl their age with jet black hair with amber dyed ends and eyes, tan skin wearing ripped jeans and a black shirt with a golden dragon on it, a crop top jean jacket, with a big duffel bag  came over to them and whispered to Sundew "Nice, I've wanted to do that sense I got here and good job making it look like a accident." She continued walking towards the desk were a young SilkWing woman stood writing something as though nothing had happened. He thought they heard her say something about her watching her bag so she could go find something to eat, and she left past Bombardier without him noticing her.

"Hay does anyone want to come with me to go get food?" Luna asked a while later.

"Sure!" Swordtail said excitedly.

"Can you get me a drink?" Cricket asked.

"Me too!"Blue added. 

"Me three!"added Willow.

"Me four!" Said Sundew.

"Okay I think I saw a smoothie place a little bit passed security what does everyone want?" Luna asked.

"Mango please." Blue and Cricket said at the same time.

"Banana and strawberry." Willow said.

"Something with blueberries." Sundew said.

"Okay I also saw a sandwich place near here does any one want anything?" Luna asked.

"Cucumber sandwich." Blue, Cricket, and Willow said and they all burst up laughing.

"Nothing I'm good." Sundew said but then whispered something in Luna's ear.

"Okay be back soon guys." Luna said as she and Swordtail left. While they were gone Willow had gotten out her phone and they started having a texting conversation.

GlitterLeaf:I wonder how long in till the we start boarding?

TreesRock:Soon probably.

BlueFlame:I hope Luna and Swordtail get back before then.

BookWorm:And I hope we also get enough time to eat!

GlitterLeaf:Me too!

BlueFlame:That HiveWing girl that noticed Sundew pushed Bombardier on purpose seemed nice.

BookWorm:Yeah she seems a lot like Sundew.

GlitterLeaf:How?

TreesRock:She hated Bombardier too.

BlueFlame:She noticed Sundew pushed on purpose.

BookWorm:She's feisty.

GlitterLeaf:hmm.

BookWorm:I wonder how many humans on Pyrrhia can see the future?

BlueFlame:Luna said it was just this one NightWing named Moonwatcher.

BookWorm:It would be sooo cool to see her again we only met briefly!

GlitterLeaf:She can also read minds sooo... I would be good if I didn't.

TreesRock:She seemed nice!

BookWorm:Look Swordtail and Luna are back!

BookWorm, BlueFlame, TreesRock, and GlitterLeaf have logged out

They all ate lunch and drank their smoothies laughed and about a hour later everyone boarded the plane, it was a nice plane instead of normal seats in rows it had tables with seats around them, there were screens you could pull up and cup holders it was awesome and once they were on the plane Sundew took of her hoodie everyone that noticed her gasped but that was only two people and the look she gave them was kind of friendly but cold enough to make them not come and ask questions, after that all of them took of their hoodies and talked and laughed, at one point they were laughing so loudly that Bombardier who was in one of the seats surrounding them when he saw who it was he gasped and then when he saw Cricket his expression changed to a annoying smug face that made Blue wish they would've left him to the othermind.

"Hay Cricket-Ahhh!" Whatever he was going to say turned into a yelp of surprise When a mango hit him in the face.

"You did have a mango!" Swordtail accused.

"I didn't when you asked I asked Luna to get me one while you two were getting food." Sundew said. Then they heard someone laughing they turned to there other side and laughed out of her seat was the girl HiveWing that had noticed Sundew had pushed Bombardier.

"Hey I'm going to tell my dad about this!" He said gesturing to the mango stuck to his face.

"Oh great idea, then maybe the plane will crash and we'll all die!" She said sarcastically.

Bombardier mouth opened and closed he scowled at the girl now back in her seat, then he ran towards the bathroom presumably  to wash off the mango. Blue thought that girl was funny, she definitely seemed a lot like Sundew.
