Raindrop...

What a beautiful name. It fits her perfectly for her being Rainwing and Nightwing. :)

" that's a beau-" I start to say

" thank you" she says.

I smile, " my name is Jade" I say bringing my arm up to my chest.

Raindrop smiles, a few of her scales turn yellow and pink.

I lean back on the rock I'm on. "So tell me about your family Raindrop." I say out loud.

She lays her wings down to the ground. And she says in my mind,

" Well my mother is queen of the Rainwings and my father is her Nightwing mate."

I think in my mind while closing my eyes, " tell me more about your mother."

She smiles and looks up at the sky. " she is maybe two wing lengths high and she is very beautiful. She has these ocean blue-green eyes and sometimes if you look close enough you can see the golden specks in them. She says smiling.

I am to much in shock to say anything. I just sit there and stare at her. I bring my left arm up to my right and rub it down my scar. The memories flood my mind, the boar, the arrow, the roar, the blood,the egg............ The talons....

"Jade...JADE!??" Raindrop yells in my mind..

" yeah, yeah what?" I say shaky

" are ummm.... Are you okay?" She says while tilting her head.

" yeah I'm fine, just umm.... Just tired." I lie. " I think I'm going to start heading home." I glance up at the sky and see its almost sundown.

" oh okay, do you think we could meet back here tomorrow?" She ask me with a half smile.

" sure." I say. I grab my fishing pole and start my way back to the forest line. I turn around and look back at Raindrop. She turns and looks back and smiles. She spreads her wings and all I hear is, " see you tomorrow Jade!"

" see you then..." I whisper as I walk into the woods.

My mind is storming while I walk back to my house. Why did I have to meet this dragon. The offspring of the dragon from my nightmares. What if she finds out what her mother did. What if her mother finds me again. Will she kill me. Threaten Raindrop from seeing me. No I can't let Raindrop find out what happened those three years ago..... She must never know...

...And with that thought I fell into a dreamless sleep.....
