Chapter 5

The day after that Tsunami and Sunny seemed to have vanished. The sky was clear and bright outside and the sun was cheerfully shining down on jade mountain.

At the main landing cliff, it seems that all RainWings and Sandwings were basking. Parasite however was doing something he'd been practicing to show Snowbank, who was somewhere else.

'Probally hanging out with the other icewings' He thought, unmoved. He scrambled up a rocky slope and underneath a large miny cliff. He been trying to hang upside down from it, like he always used to do in Jewel Hive. But unlike Jewel Hive, there was nothing but rough rock to cling into, not softish treestuff.

He hooked his front talons on the cliff and maunevered his body vertically to where he would try again. He dug his back talons into the rocks, and hesitantly let go. He swung for a couple seconds, wings flopping on either side of him, wind rushing past him and then his talons gave way and he was plummeting.

With a yelp he stretched out all four of his wings and caught the gentles breeze just in time to catch himself. He was a bout to re-join the others before he could hear a cracking voice from behind a layout of boulders and small caves that only went on for a couple wing lengths.

He swooped towards the voice, tipping his head to listen, it wasn't that hard to detect the dragons. The caves were small and being stealthy wasn't an option. Especially if you had bright sun yellow scales. Parasite ducked and rounded a corner and landed as silently as he could a little ways away from the cliff entrance.

Inside, two dragons were talking. He heard the cracking voice, which just seemed like a dragon out of breath.

"That's all he said!" Parasite didn't regonize the voice of this tired out dragon.

"Oh, but I can't!" The other voice was definitely-

"Sunny!"

A familiar sound ripped him from his thoughts. At first he thought it was Riptides voice, the dragon that often came to see Tsunami, then he silently tensed as he realized the cracking voice was Riptide.

"It can't be that bad! Tsunami's already there."

Parasite clenched his jaw, trying to stay as still as possible, he hated the pressure of eavesdropping. His tail flicked impatiently, he leaned forward, trying to overhear when his talons went out from under him and he was tumbling down the slope straight into a thorny thicket.

And then all was darkness.

~

*Blink*

The lights come back, he's in a dream, looking around at shimmery white fields of snow. Two dragons are in front of him, one has scales the color of darkness, the other had dark brown scales. The black ones not a Nightwing and the brown one has lava running down from it's scales, covering it's body and filling up the field in liquid fire.

Until their's nothing left.

"Ok I'll go! Just get him back!" He blinks and Sunny voice comes and then he blinks again, waking up in the Jade Mountain medical cave. Parasite frowns shifting in his moss bed, his head spinning. He blinks wearily to the side where two dragons are standing over him, worry creased into their faces.

Are those the strange dragons?  Parasite though, until he  realized it was Moon and Snowbank, the rest of his Winglet standing behind them.

"Parasite..." Snowbank says softly, putting a talon on his shoulder.

"Owww..." He replies

"You fell down the mountain side." Moon explained, nodding, "You were in some kind of active coma."

"Yea! You kept shivering and flapping your wings." Ravine piped up, shuffling closer.

"Strange though," Existence said thoughtfully, tapping her chin with a black and silver talon, "Everytime Moon got close to you your scales would heat up and you would freeze and move your head."

"Like, lava hot?" Parasite asked, rolling his wings.

"Of course not that hot." Snowbank pressed her cold talons deeper into his shoulder.

"Ow. Stop." He complained, shifting.

"Sorry!" Snowbank withdrew.

"Tell me, did you hear anything odd? Like words." Moon asked.

"I know! ANOTHER FORBIDDING PROPHECY!!!" Peril came bounding up, the rest of the Winglet scrambling away from her and her burning scales.

"A prophecy?" Parasite echoed, his brain hurt again, Tsunami had made it clear that she didn't want any more prophecy's. But Tsunami wasn't here, she was somewhere else.

"Did Riptide bring me here?" Parasite asked.

"Yea." Snowbank replied simply leaning over the edge of the mossy bed, "Left right after though."

"Did you hear anything?" Moon asked again.

"I saw something."
