Chapter 21

A/N: Hey, thought I should update this little book, cause I kinda left you wondering what happens with the Vamp case and everything. And I'm sorry it might be short, so, here we gooOOOO!!

.~.~.~.

After Dean left Sam in the car, he walked toward the office of the motel and checked in while Dean waited by the trunk of the car, gathering his things. Once he had gotten the room key's, he walked back out and escorted Dean and himself to the proper room.

Dean immediately walked to the bed and just laid down on his stomach, almost instantly falling asleep, considering he was probably up all night.

Sam shook his head. He needs to really just own up to what he feels and stop messing around, Sam thought to himself as Dean snored softly. He writes on a piece of paper that he will be at the coffee shop that was around the corner, researching, like always.

As soon as his laptop and books were in a bag and room key in hand, he left, not really wanting to be in the same room as his brother at the moment. But as the silence bored into him more and more as he walked, he couldn't help but think about the whole situation.

Dean liked Cass. And Cass liked Dean.

He had always known that his big brother was bisexual, maybe even gay, but to officially know it now seemed weird to him. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a horn honk and a yell.

Looking toward where it was, he was a guy a little shorter than him standing in the middle of the road, when an on coming diesel truck coming at him. Sam didn't stop to think what he was about to do, but he leapt into action as he ran toward the man and pushed him and himself out of the way before the truck hit them.

Sam hit the sidewalk with a thud, the man doing the same next to him. "Are you okay?" Sam, rubbing his aching shoulder, asked the man.

The man gave a hesitant nod. "Yeah, I mean, that was pretty wild," He said, giving a nervous laugh, and standing up. Sam stood up too, more quickly than he intended. "Thanks, man, really appreciate that, I don't know what happened. I guess I just blanked out,"

Sam gave a shrug, It was no problem, is what he wanted to say. But he couldn't get his mouth to spill them out, so he just bent down and picked up his book bag.

"Have a nice day, sir," Sam managed to squeeze out. What is wrong with me? Sam wondered to himself as he turned around to go and seek out the coffee shop.

"Gabriel," The man said, stopping Sam in his tracks.

Sam turned back around. "What?" He asked

"My name is Gabriel," Said the man--Gabriel.

Sam gave, not to his liking, a meek and shy smile. "Nice to meet you Gabriel. My name is Sam," Sam stuck out his hand for Gabriel to shake. Gabriel looked at it as if it was foreign, and then finally shook it. There was an awkward moment with them both standing there, not knowing what to do, until Sam finally said lamely, "I got to go," and started walking again.

The rest of the time he wasn't even remotely thinking about the case and what he should be searching for--his mind was stuck on Gabriel, the mysterious stranger he had saved.

.~.~.~.

A few struggling hours later, Sam had finally pinpointed where the Vamps might be, assuming that they aren't too smart to hunt far away from their nest. He packed his things up at the coffee shop, and walked out the door, leaving a five dollar tip.

Walking down the street and jay walking, he made it to the motel, finding Dean still asleep on the bed. Sam shook his head and gave a sigh through his nostrils. Does Dean ever do anything? Sam thought to himself as he stripped his shirt off while walking to the bathroom to change into something more comfy.

Once he was done with that, and brushing his teeth, he got into bed, and was soon asleep.
