Sam wasn't stupid. He knew what his brother was gonna do before he even thought it. But sometimes you just gotta let things be. He even heard them from where he was, and he walked over to Castiel's door and started to knock, but gave up as he knew it wouldn't stop.
He was in the library all night since the walls of his room weren't as thick as he'd like them to be; so he slept in the library. He only woke when he heard Dean walking into the library. He sat up quickly before Dean said anything and rubbed his eyes and stifled a yawn. " 'Morning," Sam mumbled out.
Dean seemed to be walking a little weird, but he just shrugged it off. " 'Morning, Sammy," Dean said, walking to the kitchen, probably getting a cup of coffee.
Sam followed closely behind, and grabbed himself a cup and waited for the coffee to be made. It was a long stretch of awkward silence, until Castiel walked in, already dressed in his usual attire.
Castiel looked over at Sam and gave him a nod, "Hello, Sam," he said. Sam gave him a tight smile. Dean poured himself some coffee as soon as it was done being made by the coffee machine. He sat down at the table in the kitchen and took a long sip. "So, do we have a case or what?" Dean mumbled, not quiet looking at Sam.
"Um," Sam started, squeezing his eyes shut for a minute and rubbing his head, trying to remember. "Yeah, a vamp case down in Red Cloud Nebraska," he said, looking between Castiel and Dean.
Dean finally looked up at Sam and gave a nod. "OK, should be easy enough, right?" he said, giving a cocky smirk. Sam then rolled his eyes at his brother.
"Yeah, should," Sam scoffed and got up from leaning on the counter, forgetting about even getting coffee, and walking out to go pack his things that he needed for this trip.

Dean watched Sam leave as he took another drink of his morning coffee. Cass still stood where he was standing when he first walked in. "OK, Sam was definitely acting weird," Dean pointed out.
Cass squinted his eyes at Dean, saying, "Well, he probably was up all night,"
Dean rolled his eyes. "We weren't that loud... were we?" Dean questioned more to himself than to Cass. But Cass didn't answer as he walked out of the room. Dean gave a sigh and drank the rest of his coffee and followed him out, but to his room to go pack for this case.
As he walked, he walked by Sam's room and the door was open. He stopped in front of the door and gave it a knock before entering the room. "Hey, Sammy," Dean said as Sam was gathering some clothes.
"What did you want, Dean?" Sam asked tiredly, stopping what he was doing and looking at Dean.
"I just wanted to say sorry about last night," Dean said blandly and with a shrug.
"Yeah, uh huh, OK." Sam said, putting his clothes into his duffel bag. He really wasn't interested in Dean's half-assed apologies.
Dean gave another shrug as he left Sam's room, and went to his own room down the hall. He packed within minutes, rolling his shirts, flannels, and jeans separately and sloppily and put them in his own duffel bag. he went to the bathroom and got his supplies that he would need; tooth brush and paste, some hair products, and other essentials.
Once he was ready, he walked out into the map room and set down his things on the map table. Sam walked out in the map room a few minutes after. "what took you so long? Couldn't find the right hair conditioner?" he teased his little brother.
Sam just rolled his eyes. "When are you gonna stop with the hair jokes?" he asked.
"When you cut your hair," Dean answered.

Sam and Dean drove in comfortable silence down to Red Cloud, Nabraska. The only noise was the Impala's purr and the faint Led Zepplin music in the background. Once they pulled in the motel after 23 minutes of driving, that was when Dean said something.
"All right, let's get some shut eye," Dean said. Sam gave him a look. "Dude, it's only-" he looked at his watch. "-five in the afternoon," Sam said.
Dean gave a sigh. "Then I'll sleep while you go and do some research, or whatever the hell you do," Dean said, getting out of the car and grabbing his duffel bag and checking in.
Sam sat in the car for a short while collecting his thoughts and what he should do. One things for sure though; he's gonna have to do research to see where these vamps are hiding.
