Chapter 2
Tuesday, February 5, 2013:
Dean went to sleep without any difficulty. Darkness wound around him, engulfing him. Then, sudden light shined through, piercing and scaring away the dark. There was a figure, walking through the light. Like a god. Like... like... Dean was puzzled, it almost looked like Castiel.
"Dean..." a faint voice said.
"Dean.." The voice was louder, a lot louder. And sounded a lot like Castiel.
"Dean!"
Castiel was shaking Dean awake, jolting him from his strange dream. "Dean, wake up." Castiel said. He stopped when Dean swatted him away, getting up. "I'm up, I'm up..." Dean said, satisfying Castiel by standing and drug tiredly to the bathroom.
"Wheres Sammy?" Dean asked around a muffled yawn, scratching at his stomach, also splashing water onto his face. "He went out to get us grub." Castiel said that last word with emphasis, testing it in his mouth like a piece of lemon candy. Dean looked at Castiel, nodding towards him. "How you holding up?" He asked his friend.
"I am doing better," Castiel said, sitting on the edge of bed Dean had slept in. "But, like I had said previously, its going to take sometime to heal." He said in a confessing voice, looking down at his feet. Then looked up. "Heaven has been oddly silent."
"Obviously, because Metatron dumped all the angel dick bags on Earth." Dean said sarcastically. Then looked at Castiel. "No offense."
Castiel just nodded. Then looked at the door when they heard a roar of an engine. Sam walked through the door with bags in his hands, then set them down on the little coffee table. "Hey," Sam said.
"Did you find anything more about the case?" Dean asked, rummaging through the bag's contains, then held up a container with a piece of cake in it. "Cake does not substitute pie, Sammy." Dean said putting the abomination back in the bag roughly. "That was all they had Dean,"Sam said as he went to the mini fridge, beers in hand to put them away. " And,um, yeah, I did find out more about the case," He said, after putting the cold drinks away, and went to his laptop.
"They said in the report the vics had nothing in common" Sam said, reading through the report, then turning the laptop so his brother and the angel could see. Dean looked at it, then said with a grin, "Let's go to the crime scene."

The place was a pizza bar, and a big one at that. There were a few abandoned cars in the parking lot, and police tape around the front of the place. Rolling in an older car was eye catching to the crowd. They got out and walked past an ambulance, which was boarding a body bag. Once at the crime scene, and dressed professionally, they were able to bypassed the officers crawling around the place by showing them fake I.D. badges.
"FBI, I'm agent Bonham" Dean said in a voice that meant business, showing the female officer his 'badge'. " My partners, Stark," Dean said pointing to Sam, showing his badge in turn. "And Rivers," Dean said pointing to Castiel. He showed his badge, but being new at this, he showed it upside down. Noticing Castiels' mistake, Dean turned it right side up.
The officer, whom was a short, squat, woman with pinned up hair so tight, it was pulling her face, gave them a suspicious eye. But she still let them in on what was going on, the question, 'What has FBI have to do with this case?' died at her lips."Officer Bishop. This is the third victim this week." Bishop said, turning on her heel toward the crime scene.
Dean nodded at Sam to go investigate around the place for any EMF signs, sulfur, or any other signs of other creatures. Sam got the hint and started off on his journey around the vast place.
Officer Bishop turned around, and continued, not noticing Sam is gone. "This victim is a white male, approximately twenty four." She said, taking and looking at a sheet. "Was there any witnesses?" Dean asked, looking around the entryway. Bishop nodded toward a man in ragged, patched, and holy clothing, that were maybe two sizes too big.
"That is the witness?" Castiel asked, tilting his head slightly. Bishop stole a quick glance at him. "Yeah, that's the witness," then in a lower voice, she said, "Hes a little... unstable." Dean looked at the officer and smiled. "We can handle crazy." Then, Dean walked toward the man, Castiel following closely behind.
Approaching the guy, Dean took out his 'badge' again, flashing it at the guy. "I'm Special Agent Bonham, and my partner Rivers. We'd like to ask you a few questions." The homeless man nodded. "What did you see?" Dean asked.
"W-well, I saw a light go off," He said, stuttering. "What did the light look like?" Castiel asked, taking a slight step forward. "T-the light looked... blueish?" The guy said it as a question, instead of an answer. "Was there anything weird? Like smells?" Dean asked him.
"What do you mean? Anything more weirder than a bright light?" The guy asked, then thought a minute. "Um, yeah, there was a growling noise," Dean looked over at Castiel, then said, "Thank you, you have been a great help in this investigation." Then they sauntered off toward Deans Impala.
