I am a simple girl,

Stuck between a war,

Of angels and demons,

Of heart and soul.

Well, I was relieved at the thought that at least Hailey was human because even with no supernatural power she was...kind of evil.

"How dare you Alexander Comhan?" His father shouted but Xander looked unperturbed.

"Who informed him?" Haylien sounded bored and agitated.

"I did so that he could join us and bless our son." Xander's human mother said in a innocent tone.

"I am not letting you marry this girl." His father said stubbornly.

"And you will stop us?" Haylien stepped forward but Alexander placed a hand on his shoulder.

He didn't want to hurt his human mother in any way.

All this while I noticed Hailey murmured something. And then her eyes opened and she smirked.

Next thing we heard a lot of noises.

"Demons," Leonard spoke up.

"How?" Alicia looked surprised.

"She broke the spell," I informed them as my gut told me.

"But she is human."

"She has her mind captured, work of another demon," Leonard explained.

We were soon joined with the very familiar King of Hell and certain other demons. Dozen hell hounds growling at us.

Alexander's father looked shocked at the sudden entry. But it didn't last long since in the next moment some demon slit his throat making us gasp and yell. Hailey was still in a trance so she just stood there like she was waiting for the next command.

"We are here to take Leonard with us." King of hell said in a fake friendly tour.

"And do you think this will be easy." Surprising us all Xander spoke up and stepped forward.

It was amazing to see so many demons step back as he did nothing but glare at them.

"He is the next King of Hell, surely you understand if I just want him in training." King of Hell was scared.

"I thought you wanted to kill me, father." Leonard stepped forward and I noticed Alicia did as well.

Was I like this with Xander?

King of Hell just laughed.

"Why would I kill my own son?" There was a lie in his voice.

"But since you two got engaged, Xander can't be Heaven's kill but Hell has no rules." He was here to make a deal for Leonard's life.

And then in a blink of an eye all the standing demons evaporated in bright light and Xander was holding Azazel's neck. King of Hell was pale with fear as Xander looked pretty angry.

"You tortured her." He said with a frozen cold tone.

He still harbored anger from that.

"You almost destroyed her soul." His hold on Azazel's neck tightened and no one dared move.

"Do you think there is any reason I should keep you alive? And then he simply incinerated King of Hell very easily.

There were shock and silence in the room for that minute. Hailey broke from trance and looked around.

"How can you be with her Alex? I loved you." She whined not even aware that King of Hell died right then.

"Heaven will react Xander," Haylien said .

"Let them do whatever they want. What can they do?" Xander ignored Hailey and asked Michael.

"Nothing. God sends us to unite you two. And nothing is going to break you two apart now. These people from hell and heaven already broke too many rules to keep you away . But it's God's will to whom you are fated with."

His words were like magic, it relieved me and made me somewhat giddy. How was someone like me paired up with someone as awesome as Xander?

"Leonard, can you handle hell now?" Xander asked.

"Only if you are okay with my fate." Leonard's words had meaning behind it.

He wanted to know if Xander was okay with him and Alicia. There was staring and challenging and threats throw his eyes but Alicia's worried face made him loose.

"Fine, but you know if I want you gone it will take me less than a breath." He threatened in a old-fashioned brotherly way.

Immediate relief and joy was evident on Alicia's face.

But the next moment, both Haylien and Alicia shrieked in pain and fell on the ground clutching their heads.

"What is wrong?" Xander asked in panic kneeling down next to his siblings.

"It's time you dealt with Heaven now Alexander," Michael said in a grave tone.

"Can I help?" Lucifer asked in a true devil tone.

"Brother." Michael warned and then gave me a pitying looking as if this was as far as they could help.

Haylien's and Alicia's ears were bleeding and they look as if they were in too much pain.

"I need to go to sort this out. You stay here. " Xander said to me and then turning at pale Leonard he said, "Protect her?"

This was miraculous, Xander asking Leonard to protect me.

He nodded and I notice a tear escape his eyes. It was unsettling to watch a demon soon to be King of Hell shedding tears.

"Keep her alive." He said to Xander with a tremor in his voice.

I hugged a crying Tessa as Xander vanished right before us with his siblings.
