ShadowEclipse gave me a small grin, "Why, you just figured that out?"
I JUST figured out THAT STUPID NightWing WAS MY DAD!! How am I EVER suppose to take all this?!?!
ShadowEclipse flicked his tail at me then sighed, "Heh. My family is gone. Your grandfather died protecting you, your Mother Crystal died from a NightWing, my tribe! And now I finally was able to talk to my daughter, just to realize she hates me. How sad."

I felt the anger in me start to boil up, "WHERE WERE YOU ALL THIS TIME WHEN MOTHER NEEDED YOU?! YOU COULD'VE SAVED MOTHER!! BUT INSTEAD YOU---YOU DECIDED TO HIDE UNTIL NOW! COWARD!"

"No. No. I was here. You just never saw me. Your Mother and I had a conversation long before you were born that you are never to see me. Your Mother wanted you to be born in the Ice Kingdom, and sacrifices were made. If anyone knows that I was your Father, or the fact your father was a NightWing, you'll be dead. So I stayed hidden. I stayed in the shadows, watching you grow up to become a warrior. Do you know how painful that was?" ShadowEclipse stared at me with empty eyes.

My anger slowly died down after hearing this, "Father..... So...um....sorry?"

"Nah, it was my fault for not telling you. But it was for your safety."

"Wait, but how do you stay with me during the melting? When the three Suns show up?"

"Well........ I enchanted myself......"

"Wait!..... Your.... An....."

"Animus."

I let that sink in for awhile. My dad is RIGHT beside me. He's alive. He have been watching over me since I was little and I had NO idea. And he's an Animus. Which means........
"SO YOU COULD'VE SAVED MOTHER! YOU COULD'VE MADE HER IMMORTAL FOR ALL I CARE!! YOUR AN ANIMUS!! You could've saved her......" I started crying again, drowning myself in tears.

ShadowEclipse shook his head sadly, "Even Animus' have limits.... And I reached my limit already."

"Why.....?" I choked between sobs.

"You see...... I saved your Mother long time ago when she was in the Ice Kingdom, strangled in a avalanche. I used my power to save her. We then fell in love, where I took her to the Volcano, where NightWings used to live, and we lived together in secret. I used more of my powers to transform her during her time in the Volcano. The Volcano erupted, where Crystal nearly died but I protected her with my animus magic. I was to tired for anything else so we escaped to the Ice Kingdom." ShadowEclipse stared into space, drawing things on the ground as he went.

"I'm almost dead Clover. Or I should be dead. But your Mother convinced me to use the last bit of my animus powers to save myself. I'm so selfish," he buried his head in his wings, "I gonna die soon. Clover, you need to learn to protect yourself.... G-go to Jade mountain. The answers will be there. Clover...... I have to go....."

I nearly felt bad for him. He may be annoying and selfish, but he is my dad. He tried to protect Mother. So I have to give him some credits...

I hugged him lightly, "Your not gonna die Father! I'm here for you!"

"My time is up. Goodbye my lovely daughter."

And just like that, ShadowEclipse, my Father, disintegrated.

And my last family. Gone.
