Percy pov

I started to wake up. Where was I? I tried to sit up only to find my wrists and legs were strapped to a table. I raised my head a little to get a feel for my surroundings. I was in a bright white room with no windows. On the other side of the room was a table with lab equipment on it.

"So you're awake I see" I turned my head to see a woman walk into the room. Then behind her came the man from the night before. The woman walked over to me and started examining me. "Oh yes" she said "I think this one will be perfect for the AV 29 experiment."

"Who are you people? Where am I? Who do you work for? What did you do with Annabeth?!" I yelled all at ounce.

She smiled "Oh my boy we did nothing with your girlfriend. She wasn't worthy. And as for who I am, my name is Dr. Melisa Summers. And you are in a secret laboratory that we like to call The School. And I work for no one because I am the director of The School."

"Summers huh? How bout I just call you doc sunshine?" I retorted.

She scowled "I would prefer if-"

"Great" I smiled "Now another thing what exactly are you planning on doing to me in this fine establishment of yours? Cause if it's torture trust me I've been through worse. And also why me? And what this AV 29 I have heard so much about?"

"For one thing we don't plan on torturing you." She replied "and as for why we picked you we needed a healthy young man to do our experiments on."

Great I thought out of all the kids in Manhattan I'm the one that has to be kidnapped.

"And the AV 29 is a formula that we are going to test on you." She said.

I sighed "Well if you must just get it over with. I have tickets to a baseball game tomorrow."

She giggled "Well it's great to have an eager subject." And with that she pushed a needle with a green liquid in it. I started to pass out.

"Well" she said "I think he's promising don't you, Jeb?" Then I blacked out.
