Annabeth pov

Nico shadow traveled me back to camp and just like he said immediately passed out. I didn't want to wait to tell Chiron what happened but I decided to take Nico back to his cabin first. I picked Nico up into my arms. Until now I had never realized just how much Nico weighed. He was just about wasting away to nothing his skin has always been pale but for the last few months it seems like it had gone almost completely white. I carried the son of Hades into his cabin. It was so dark in there. Nico had always complained that whenever the cabin was decorated the campers must have wanted to play a joke because his bed literally was a coffin.

I set him down in his bed and pulled the blanket over him. Whenever he slept it seemed like all the anger and sadness he had experienced just went away. It looked like for ounce he was having a nice dream because he had the slightest smile on his face. I quietly closed the cabin door behind me and then sprinted to the dining pavilion. I had to let everyone know what happened.

Everyone was still eating when I ran down the center of the tables straight up to the head table. I was panting.

Chiron stood up "Annabeth what's wrong I thought you and Percy were going to spend a couple days in the city?"

By this point everyone was focused on me. I shed a small tear "Percy has been kidnapped." Everyone gasped.

Clarisse stood up from the Ares table "where's Hera I want to let her know just-"I cut her off.

"It wasn't Hera it was mortals. They shot him with some kind of tranquilizer dart and put him in a van. When I woke up Nico was there Rachel had told him something was wrong." To this the whole camp exploded. Percy was there hero and they would do anything to get him back.

Chiron raised his hand for silence "there is nothing we can do tonight tomorrow we will have a counselors meeting." Ever one started to funnel out of the pavilion. Except for Piper Jason and Leo.

Piper came up to me and gave me a hug. I started crying into her shoulder. "It's ok Annabeth we'll bring Percy back to you if it's the last thing we do." From behind her Leo and Jason nodded.

"Thanks guys I needed that." and with that Leo and piper wrapped my arms around there necks and the helped me to the Athena cabin.
