chapter 4
The boys continue to passionately kiss in the car, not caring about anyone who saw. They had no idea that Cadenza had caught them or that she let them be. Both of their jackets were off, along with Laurence's blue button up. "L-Laurence," A soft breathy moan slips from Garroth's mouth as they pull away for a split second before connecting their lips again. Garroth has his arms locked around Laurence's neck while Laurence's hands continue to rub up and down Garroth's sides. But suddenly Garroth pulls away with a frown. "You're going to be late for your second job," He says, out of breath. Laurence just smiles and nods in response, panting a bit and leaning forwards to kiss at Garroth's neck. "Mm, I-I'm serious Laurence," the brunette stops and sighs, getting in his seat properly and sliding on his blue button up and jacket, Garroth following afterwards by putting on his own jacket. The rest of the drive was awfully quiet and awkward, for they really wanted to kiss again. Laurence's second job was just for a few hours working at a store, stacking shelves and scanning items for customers. Garroth helped out as well and his second boss was nice enough to pay them more for the extra work he was doing with Garroth. By the time they both were beginning to stack the cans on the shelves the awkwardness and silence between them completely washed away. While they stacked cans, they continuously danced ridiculously to the radio playing on the speakers. They also opened a bag of marshmallows and started throwing some at each other playfully. Garroth ran and hid in another aisle, hiding from Laurence and his damn marshmallow throwing. While he was hiding, however, he caught Harper and Emanuel walking in. Their hands were locked together and she would not let him go. She continuously kisses his cheek and neck, kissing his lips here and there. Garroth rolls his eyes, anger beginning to build up inside him, as he marches over to Laurence's aisle. He gets hit in the face with a marshmallow once he arrives into Laurence's view. He rolls his eyes with a smile and he brunette snickers lightly. "She's here," Garroth says lightly, a frown on his face, "and she's with Emanuel."
Laurence's face falls.
Laurence isn't sad because of Harper, oh no, he's angry at her. However, he's sad because of how Garroth struggles to hold back tears whenever he see's Harper with another man. If she wasn't with Laurence, maybe he could be with Laurence. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair for either of them. Laurence sighs, "Just ignore them, Gar."
"Ignore them? How am I supposed to ignore them!? You're dating that girl!" Garroth snaps and Laurence clutches the bridge of his nose. He sets down the bag of marshmallows and wraps his arms around Garroth protectively.
"Don't cry Garroth... I'm going to be yours and you're going to be mine soon. Okay? We just have to get through this," He whispers.
"I know," The blonde giggles lightly, wiping his tears and Laurence only smiles. The laughter of Harper and Emanuel ring their ears. "Laurence, they're in the next aisle," Garroth lets out a quiet laugh as they both dash out the aisle and run into another one.
"You little prick," Laurence mutters and flicks Garroth's forehead. Garroth giggles and tries to bite Laurence's finger but he misses. The brunette lowly chuckles as he sticks his tongue out at Garroth.
"You're so childish," Garroth smiles. Laurence rolls his eyes,
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"We should probably get back to work," Laurence says, pointing at the cans in the other aisle that they still didn't finish stacking. Garroth sighs with a nod, his muscles beginning to feel weak. He was already tired, how could Laurence be able to do this everyday? The rest of the day working there, Garroth continuously sent Harper a rude glare whenever she wasn't looking. Laurence noticed and smiled lightly at the fact that Garroth was there for him and wasn't afraid of her. They both began scanning items for costumers after they finished stacking. Garroth had to stop himself from tangling his fingers in Harper's hair and yanking it when she walked up to his scanning station. She smiled kindly at him, not knowing that he was someone who knew Laurence since they were 5. She smiled not knowing that he was the guy that just made out with Laurence in a McDonald's parking lot. She sent Emanuel a nasty glare and he sighed, beginning to place things on the black surface, Garroth beginning to scan. Behind Harper, he could see Laurence looking at him with wide eyes and a huge smile. Laurence began to snicker and Garroth had to hold back from laughing.
"So, what's a cutie like you doing working at a lonely place like this?" Harper smiles and bats her eyes flirtatiously. Garroth wanted to shove his foot down her throat. But he couldn't. She's a girl and he had been taught never to hit a female.
He continues to scan the things she picked out, "Working. I'm just trying to make money," He states in response.
"Are you poor or something?" She asks. Garroth scrunches up his nose. Why do you randomly ask somebody that?
"No," He replies rudely, his fists turning white as he scanned the items.
"Oh. So why are you working here when you can work somewhere else?" She tilts her head. Garroth begins to curse at her under his breath.
"Babe, let's go, hurry up and pay." Emanuel mutters next to her and she rolls her eyes. She hands Garroth a 50 dollar bill and walks off with Emanuel, holding the bags full of things they just bought. Laurence quickly scrambles over and laughs loudly.
"You looked so fucking pissed."
"Cause I was. She's rude." A soft smile spreads across the blonde's face. He was tired from working.
"You're adorable," Laurence chuckles, running his hands through Garroth's hair gently. The blonde giggles with a smile and pink blush but then mentally groans after remembering how they had two more jobs after this.
