lol hey yall
been a while
also this chapter was literally written so long ago i don't write like this that much anymore
It had been an exact hour since Garroth had gotten a call saying he needed to come down to the hospital quick. He had been sitting in the waiting room for an hour. He didn't know why he was there but he was guessing either something bad had happened or his and Laurence's families were being let out. Which was impossible because they were still in tragic conditions. Every now and then they had to be rushed into emergency care to be carefully taken cared of or to be checked. Vylad had developed PTSD because of the crash and often had to be held down by nurses to keep him from accidentally injuring himself. Garroth had seen it happen once, he had came to visit his little brother and they had the usual 'how are you doing' chat before they began crying over the accident and Vylad went wild. The boy swung his arms and screamed, trying his best to fight so he could get out of the hospital bed. Nurses and doctors had rushed in and held him down, ordering Garroth to leave. "Garroth Ro'meave?" A nurse calls out, walking into the waiting room with a clipboard. The blonde stands and walks over to her and her blank and fine face expression swiftly falters into an apologetic and sympathy filled one. "Hello Garroth. I'm nurse Teony. We have called you to speak to you about some... very unfortunate news," She sighs and they begin walking down the halls and up flights and flights of stairs, chatting the whole way. "So I understand that you're brother and mother got into a car accident, along with two family friends, yes?"
"Sadly, yes. Why?"
"Well today when we went to go give them their lunch, something happened. Your brother had another freak put due to his PTSD, which was taken cared of right away, but when we checked on your mother to see if she how her heart rate and all of that was, she woke up," Teony explains, her dark skin beginning to glimmer every time she passed a light on the ceiling.
Garroth froze. His mother had woken up from her coma. He could talk to his mother again. "Mom w-woke up?" He stammers, unsure of what to do now.
"Yes, Mr. Ro'meave. However, the unfortunate news is that she is not healthy at all. That car accident damaged her- it damaged them all. Her mental and physical health are far too dangerous and risky for her own life. We don't understand what happened but her brain is severely damaged, in which she's developed a cancerous tumor," The nurse softly says, rubbing Garroth's arm up and down in a friendly way, comforting him.
"Wait-so-....so she has brain cancer?" He can feel an invisible snake gulp down his hope and prayers.
"Yes, I'm sorry Mr. Ro'meave, but we don't expect your mother to last for more than 5 hours. She woke up 1 hour ago, but she had been in the coma since the accident. She has been suffering from brain cancer in her sleep for a long time."
Garroth could feel his entire life crumbling down to his feet, "Can I see her?" Tears flood to the tip of his bottom eyelids and the water meets his eyelashes.
"Mr. Ro'meave, I—"
"Can I see my fucking mom?!" He blinks and thats when all the emotions broke through. Laurence had feared for this moment as well as all their friends and Garroth himself too. Everyone knew he was delicate and everyone knew he was building a wall around his sadness to keep it away. And now that wall had broken right then and there and no one was there to help him. He fell to the ground crying, screaming, in fact. The nurse looked shocked and scared and she instantly pulled herself together to kneel next to the blonde.
"Sweetheart, do you need me to call someone? It'll be okay- I don't- you- who do you want me to call to come pick you up and take care of you, hun?" Teony shakily questions Garroth, panicking herself as well. The blonde immediately yells Laurence's name and Teony runs to the phone, begging Garroth for his number so she could call. Once she does call, the phone immediately answers.
"Hello?"
"Yes, yes, hello?! Is this Laurence Zvhal?!" The panicking nurse shouts, watching Garroth cry on the floor by the stairs and down the hall.
"Um, yes? Why is the hospital calling?" Laurence's confused yet worried tone sticks through his voice.
"Your boyfriend had broke down crying and we have no idea what to do. He's screaming and swinging his arms, h-he's on the floor and w-we don't—"
"Oh my god, I'm on my way."
And with that the phone hangs up and Teony rushes back over to Garroth, helping him up off the floor but only to watch him fall back down again. "I'm tired! Tired of this life! Why does everything horrible happen to my loved ones?! Why me?!" The blonde rants and rants, his old and dry tears staining his face as new and fresh ones painting over them. Not so long afterwards, Laurence rushes into the room and melts to the ground beside Garroth, scooping the boy up into his arms and motioning to Teony to give them privacy.
And so she does.
