A lit Cigar in Ashtray
I left you feeling wanted-
making you hiss in bliss,
but I was the one more enchanted,
as you bring me up to kiss.
They say 'drugs get you on your knees,
and make you feel weak';
But why am I left here in a cold breeze
as my soul sourly creak.
I gave you myself; sinning with you
til the end,
but this game wasn't for two,
if it is- the rule, towards me bend.
You relished the chimerical intimacies that I emit-
forgetting your resentment or your gratitude;
looking at the stars with one more hit,
making reality seem a one-sided feud.
When they told you, I'm toxic,
you paid no heed,
I put on my fanciest lipstick,
as I was too moved to count a beat.
Little did I know,
you were obliviously selfish.
All you wanted was a blow-
the fluorescent smoke was all you cherished.
But Oh-my poor soul crushed,
as you left me lit,
for sweeter candies, you rushed-
as I am just a one-time hit.
The fire ignited in me,
that you loved to fray-
can't blow in a breeze,
for I lay used; a lit cigar in ashtray.

Toxic people are toxic for us; their beauty and wits charm us away to oblivion. But exceptions are always there.
As Darling, the prettiest flowers get plucked first.
