The general surveyed the land. Thousands of soldiers behind him. All in armor. Some riding horses. Some not. But all armed to the teeth. Standing. Waiting. The more the general looked the more snow, woods, and frozen rivers he saw. But not what he was looking for. Finally, one of the captains came up to him and said, 

"Aren't they going to fight?" Annoyed, the general barked back,

"Of course their going to fight! we challenged them for their land. It has so much potential. But they waste it all just to keep it "pure". We will have to fix that once we own this land." The caption nodded and turned to leave when he stopped. The general followed his eye line until he saw it too. A women, climbing up the hill they were watching, heavily dressed in furs carrying one spear, hair braided. War paint on her face. But no gloves or shoes. Then she rips back her head and lets out a howl. A howl that echo's through the army's armor and into their bones and shivers up their spines. Suddenly they were all very nervous.

The general glanced at the captain beside him and see's his face is a pale shade of white. But he quickly goes back because there is more movement. Hundreds of thousands of men and women, all dressed like their leader appear from the forest, stretched as far as the eye can see. They stare down the army before them as if challenging them to dare to attack their country. The first women implants her spear in the ground. A young man steps in front of the first women, waits for her nods and lets out another long but cold howl. Then the people change. Their hands and feet grow claws, teeth sharpen into fangs. A more dangerous look is in their eye's. They join in the howl now. Renewing it, howling over it.

The army before them looks at their armor and weapons and know that it will do them no good. They are weak before these wolf people. Another howl from the lieutenant and the wolf people attack. Snarling, faster than wind, stronger than horses. Meanwhile the general watches in wonder and whispers

 "So this is the power of Wolf Blood."
