This just kept getting more confusing.
"Wind Elementals?" I asked in bewilderment.
"Yep," He said, grinning, "I'm one myself. You see, this plant tests your powers. Winds, like us, knock it over. Fires burn it, Earths uproot it, Waters dehydrate it, and Plants grow it." His accent was irritating, but their were much bigger things to worry about. Like elementals.
"Okay, so I have a few- or no, actually a lot of questions. First off, what exactly are elementals? What causes-"
I was cut off by a loud beeping on Smith's watch, if you could call it a watch, there were so many strange buttons.
"Sorry Skylar, dear, I have business to attend." He ran out the door. Mist and I looked around. This was weird. No, sorry, that's an understatement. This was bizarre. I had no clue what was going on.
"What... what is this place?" Mist asked, looking around the room.
"I have no idea." I replied simply. Just after I spoke, a tall red head probably around 35 walked into the room through a door opposite of the entry way.
"Wind Elementals, huh?" She asked, although it wasn't really a question. "I was hoping for a new Fire. Well, let's get you to your rooms." She walked over to the door she had came through, revealing a vast hallway full of doors, similar to those of a hotel or apartment.
"You two are okay with being roommates, right? Some siblings can be a bit... hmmm... let's just say short-tempered with each other. If you girls are, I can always assign new roommates." Her eyes dared me to argue with her.
"Nah. Sky and I are besties for the resties!" Mist replied in a sing-song voice. The lady did not laugh.
"Hmmm. Dinner is in 5 minutes, so you better be ready by then. I'll tell Brooke to show you around." She grunted, and handed us both a key card. "This is your way in, out, and around the school, as well as a way into your rooms. Lose it? Just tell me." There was a warning in her gaze, and suddenly I wanted to protect it with my life. I swiped the card, and we walked into our room.
