I waited by the cafeteria. Sky came down the hall, and ran up to me. "Good morning," I said. "Morning," she said back. "You do realize we still have fifteen minutes before breakfast?" Sky said. "Yes," I said, "headstarts are always good." We both walked through to see no one there. Shocker. Me and Sky choose the best seats in the cafeteria. We saved a few, as well. Brooke and Breeze were going to meet up with us. I wasn't so sure about Steam. We don't want another fight-to-the-death match between her and Brooke. Though they do seem to be getting along lately. Better safe than sorry. Me and Sky sat quietly for a few minutes, when, finally, other elementals came in. We decided to get our breakfast early; Brooke and Breeze can get theirs later. Sky and I each grabbed a plate and went to get our food. I got pancakes and orange juice. Of course, Sky got waffles. She gets waffles every, single, time. Except for when they don't have plain Belgium waffles. Then she gets chocolate chip Belgium waffles. We sat quietly, eating our breakfast, when Brooke and Breeze came in, chatting. They noticed us and walked over. "You must have gotten up early to get these seats," Brooke said. We nodded. "And why couldn't you wait till we got our breakfast before you ate yours?" Breeze asked, her arms folded in fake seriousness. "Eating," I said, pointing to my mouth,"can't talk right now." They then turned to go get their breakfast. We were finished by the time they came back. "You guys got all the good stuff," Breeze complained,"I only got one waffle, one pancake, and bacon." She showed us her plate. Compared to ours (which I got like twenty pancakes and Sky got like twenty-five waffles), it was small. The pancake and waffle were good sizes, and the bacon smelled appetizing. Brooke seemed happy with what she got (she's not as picky; no offense Breeze). They took their seats across from us and began eating and talking at the same time. "Hey, did you guys hear about Hurricane beating Reed in a duel?" Brooke said after a long while of chatting. "No," I said, confused. "Yes," Sky and Breeze said at the same time. "Well," Brooke continued, noticing my confusion,"Hurricane is another water, and Reed is his older brother. Reed's really strong, quick, and agile. It was a huge surprise to everyone that Hurricane beat him. I was there when they dueled. You should've seen his face." Still confused, I was about to say something when Sky interrupted me. "A duel is when two elementals battle to see who is stronger," she said. I looked at her strangely. Breeze and Brooke were staring at me, waiting for my reaction. "Oh, ummm...wow!" I said. They nodded. Sky, her hand underneath the table, gave me a thumbs up. We sat and talked for awhile, until the bell rang and we had to put our plates away. Me, Sky, and Brooke said goodbye to Breeze and went on to our first class.
