Chapter 54: Misty's POV
It was awful, the battle. People dying everywhere. They would fight with all their strength, and fall to the ground exhausted. Most never got up. I was exhausted within the first five minutes. My arms felt like they would fall off. Sky didn't look good either. There were so many of them, and we were dropping like flies. We didn't stand a chance. I was battling a tall man with a scar running down his face. He had a sword too. I aimed for his side but he blocked it. Half a second later, he aimed a blow to my leg. Pain exploded from where he hit it. I stumbled backwards, and tripped over a dead man. I hit the ground with a thud. The man was in front of me, his sword raised, ready for the killing blow. Then, I did something I never thought I would have to do. I jammed my sword through the wedges in his armor. He fell over, dead. I stood up, slowly and unbearably painfully, and scanned the crowd. Everyone was fighting someone else, other than this one man who was watching everything before him. Sky noticed him too. We both weaved through everyone, and headed to the man. We didn't know exactly why we were going that way, but I had a feeling. Sky burst out in front of him, and me behind. He spun around to look at us, hatred in his eyes. He said nothing as he pulled his sword from his sheath. We thought he couldn't fight both of us at the same time, but, apparently, he can. My leg was slowing me down, but I fought as hard as I could. I aimed a blow at his head. He blocked it and, with so much force, pushed me backwards. I fell (kinda my thing). I didn't have anytime to recover, before he rounded on us. Before he could strike, I touched Oliver's charm, for some reason I don't know why. Oliver appeared in front of us, but not in his cute and cuddly form. He was a giant dragon, fierce and menacing. I would've been terrified if he wasn't Oliver. Oliver glared at the man, eyes filled with hatred. The man seemed to grow smaller as he stared up at Oliver. He wasn't the only one staring up at Oliver with fear. Oliver had a fierce snarl on his face. He bent down and roared in the mans face. The man squeaked in fear and ran. We stared up at Oliver in awe. A huge smile was on his face. After a while, Oliver shrunk down to normal size. He came and licked my hand. I lay on my back, too tired to do anything. Though battle raged just out of the way, no one noticed me. My leg started burning, and I remembered. I sat up and slipped the armor off my leg. A huge gash was on my leg. It was still oozing blood and I groaned. "Are you okay?" Caspian asked at the same time as Sky. "Yes," I answered back. I will be anyway.
